The new school year – something in an unfinished school, but hopefully!

AT Nautrēnu, the upper-secondary school pupils met in a new, more cheerful outfit this year. Although there will be a further month of repair in the old building in 1938 – the change of ceiling coverings, and the training process will take place in other spaces, the pupils gathered in the parish culture hall on 1 September, however, as the school director Anita Zogota acknowledged, THE new school year Rezekne's secondary school was met with great expectations. On 1 September, the school was started by 181 students, 15 of whom were active, energetic and energetic. The school is also delighted by 21 young people who chose to continue training in class 10, and they are not only the Rēzekne municipality, but also the young people of Ludza, Carsava and Ciblas. The largest class is currently the 12 th class, the next spring OF Nautrēnu secondary school will be completed by 22 graduates, while the smallest is 3 rd class with 8 pupils.
“For the time being, we don't feel the demographic pit that will be two years later, but we are now thinking how to attract pupils to find their special niche, which is only Nautrēniem. Nautrēnu High School feels stable because of a well-equipped secondary school class, that is because we offer something that is not in other secondary schools,“ – says the Director. IN THE Nautrēnu secondary school, 7 curricula are licensed, from which six, three secondary schools and three primary schools are active this year, including two programmes for children with special needs. Students are offered to learn the third foreign language, the German language, the 11 th class students are traditionally acquiring tractor training. Currently, Nautrēnu in secondary school is a new licensed programme -- national protection training where children gain both national patriotic education and skills in national protection. The school is also meant to prepare young people for the start of entrepreneurship – for several years, children can be involved in the commercial science programme of the Business and Management Academy project “you're a leader”, but this year the school will also have a business centre where the consultant will help build training companies. Participation in the international ERASMUS programme will also begin this year. The quality level of the school's high school education is also shown by the fact that Nautrēnu secondary school is the 12 th best small school in Latvia in terms of talented children, the money has many achievements in the school Olympics and the competitions of scientific work at national level. The school serves the only pedagogy in Rezekne municipality, which has a higher, 5 th qualification category, Veronica Dundure, five teachers are awarded 4 th grade, indicating a high level of qualification for teachers.
At the start of the new school year, the students were welcomed by both Nautrēnu parish administration manager Aivars Skesters, a waiting visitor is always the former head of administration, now 11. The Saeima deputy Livija Plavinska, who wished the 12 th class students to think about the choice of their next profession, linking it to one of Latgale universities. Nautrēnie was heartily welcomed by the Executive Director of the municipality of Rezekne, Jānis Troška, who named Nautrēnu secondary school as the Latgalian cultural and linguistic bastion. And indeed, for many years there is a methodological centre for the acquisition of Latgale cultural history and Latvian language, under the direction of teacher Veronica Dunlock. The pupils enthusiastically received the news that, with the support of the Rēzekne municipality, students of the 2 nd class will travel to swimming lessons once a week in the Rēzekne 5 th High School swimming pool, while the 12 th class students will learn the driving that will be useful in their lives. The municipality of Latvia has committed funds to grant benefits to small and multi-child families for the catering of pupils. This year, the holidays in classes 1 to 3 will be provided for State resources, while the holidays of local government will be for pupils up to the 5 th grade. AT Nautrēnu in secondary school, an average of 57 euros per hour is paid, such a small fee has been managed by the fact that the vegetables are bought from local farmers, the school also participates in the “school milk” and “school fruit” programmes. Nautrēnu secondary school students will be provided with a new parish bus route Decteri – Green Manor, so that children from the remote parish places can safely get to school. For several years, the most successful students of Classes 9-12 will receive the SIA “Cirmas bekons” money prizes twice a year, this year the school has also developed a successful collaboration with new sponsors -- the Riga Rotari Club Dzintars division.
“Who did you want to go to school today?” They received not only the first school document - a student certificate, but also gifts from the municipality of Rezekne - training. Ivars Rjabowski, the 1 st class nurse of THE Nautrēnu high school, had also prepared a special song -- for the sun, to be warm and friendly.
The first school call, as always, is inviting and asking, what will this new school year be? Some statistics. A total of 2600 pupils, 59 less than last year, were started by the Rēzekne municipality in 22 general educational schools (of which 3 boarding primary schools). Perhaps the drop in the number of pupils is because there were many 9 th grade graduates last year – 349. However, it is hopeful that the number of pre-chers has increased slightly – this year is 221 (215) and the total number of students of class 10 – 125 (118). The largest school year is the United Maltas secondary school - 477 students in both streams, Kaunatas secondary school -- 238 learners, Dricānu secondary school -- 181, Nautrēnu secondary school -- 162. There are Rikavas primary schools in a smaller municipality -- 40 pupils, Zarečnajas primary school -- 44, Kalnzeru Catholic primary school -- 45 students.
“We have a lot of special challenges this year – these are incomplete renovation works in Dricans, Nautrens, Maltā, Kaunatā, Vērēmu at primary school. Maltas high school still has a new challenge: learning to work in one family. But everything can be achieved if there is a natural, friendly environment in the school collective, a non-compressed relationship. The training work is also successful,” – Lily Žukovskis, head of the municipality of Rēzekne, is described as the new school year.
