Young people can get a profession free of charge
A winter reception is started in 30 professional educational institutions throughout Latvia, which offers young people aged 17-29 free of charge to acquire one of the 62 professions within the framework of a youth guarantee project. The training will take 1 or 1.5 years, including a scholarship from 70 to 115 euros per month.
Requirements for young people: age 17-29 years (inclusive);
complete class 9 or 12;
• with or without pre-acquired qualifications;
• No professional qualifications have been obtained before the admission.
Young people who are registered as unemployed or jobseekers may also apply for curricula. Documents in educational institutions may be submitted from 1 December. The 1.5-year programmes begin as early as 12 January 2015, and on 23 February in 1 year programmes.
Why do i choose exactly these curricula?
- may receive a scholarship from 70 to 115 euros per month.
- the possibility of obtaining a certificate or certificate required for a profession if it is provided for by a specific educational programme and necessary in the labour market, such as driving licence.
- in the course of qualification practice, travel expenses shall be paid to the place of qualification, expenditure on accommodation (up to 71 euros per month), civil insurance and compulsory health examination expenses, if this is provided for in the specifics of the selected profession.
Young people have the opportunity to learn, for example, a local welder, a dress-style specialist, a finishing worker, a visual ad designer, a ship cook, a dental assistant, a building warmer, an interior design specialist, a computer system technician, and other professions.
