Seminars on support for energy efficiency measures in multi-apartment buildings will be held in Latgale

On 18 and 19 May of that year, the Ministry of Economics and the development finance institution Altum informative campaigns “live warmly” invite stakeholders to seminars in Latgale on the implementation of energy efficiency measures in multi-apartment buildings and available state aid.
Seminars will be held in three Latgale cities – Daugavpils, Preilos and Rezekne. For seminars, we invite representatives of house management companies, apartment owners and construction companies, as well as the parents of multi-apartment residential houses.
In Rezekne, the seminar “Support for renovation of multi-apartment houses and the renovation of high-quality buildings” will take place on 19 May at plkst.. 9.30. During the event, we will introduce support programmes to increase energy efficiency in multi-apartment residential buildings, the preparation of technical documentation, the decision-making procedure, as well as the aspects of co-financing. On the other hand, bank representatives will be informed about the conditions for obtaining credit. In the second part of the seminar, the lecturers will discuss solutions for renovation of facades, as well as the renovation of the heating system and the construction products of the regulated sphere and the documents certifying them.

By mid-May, the Ministry of Economics and Altum generally planned to organise 13 seminars in various cities of Latvia. More detailed information on the workplaces and agenda of the seminars is available on the website of the Ministry of Economics.
As previously reported, on 15 March 2016, the Cabinet of Ministers approved the new aid programme for increasing energy efficiency in multi-apartment residential buildings. In support of the renovation of multi-apartment buildings, eur 166 470 588 will be available for the period 2016-2023. The Ministry of Economics recalls that until this year. 13 May - may submit applications in the competition “energy efficient building in Latvia 2016”. As part of this annual competition, energy efficiency will be assessed for renewed multi-apartment buildings, multi-apartment buildings - new buildings, public buildings, single-family buildings and industrial buildings.
The aim of the competition is to promote good practice in the field of energy efficiency of buildings, as well as to build public awareness of the thermal resilience of buildings, the importance of reducing greenhouse gas emissions and opportunities to create a quality and architectural life space.
The competition for the information campaigns “live in a warm way” takes place for the sixth year. The competition is organised by the Ministry of Economics, the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Regional Development and the journal “Construction Ingenieris”.
Tenders may be submitted in five categories:
• the most energy-efficient renovated multi-apartment building;
• energy-efficient multi-apartment building – new construction;
• the most energy-efficient public building;
• the most energy-efficient single-family building;
• the most energy-efficient industrial building.
By-laws of the “energy efficient building in Latvia 2016” and the application form is published on the website of the competition www.energoefektivakaeka.lv. Applications for competition “energy efficient building in Latvia 2016” are invited to be submitted by 13 May 2016 at 17.00 by sending them electronically to the e-mail address in dzivosiltak@em.gov.lv and in paper format by post to the Latvian Construction Engineers Union, Kr. Baron street 99-1a, Riga, LV - 1012 (postmark: 13 May 2016).
The invitation to tender was prepared in cooperation with the co-operation partners of the information campaign “living warm” – the Latvian Federation of Builders, the Association of Latvian House Managers and Operators, the Latvian Engineering Advisory Association, the Association of Latvian Construction Officers, the Association of Technical Experts, the Latvian Window and Door Manufacturers Association, the Riga Technical University, the Association of Construction Materials, the Council of Sustainable Construction of Latvia and the Latvian Heat, Gas and Water Technology Engineers Union. The promoters of the competition are Profine Baltic Representation, SIA “Paroc”, SIA “Saint-Gobain Building Products”, SIA “Knauf”, SIA “Rockwool”, SIA “GRUNDFOS pumps Baltic”, SIA “Robert Bosch”, the development finance institution Altum and SIA “Metalmaker”.
