Latvian Rural Consultation and Education Centre (LLCC) Negotiations of the Rezekne Division
THE LLCC Rēzekne Division organizes a variety of educational events at the end of April. Those who manage or just want to start in the fields will be able to supplement knowledge in seminars, participate and get new information in open-door days.
23 April, in Rēzekne, Gardens Street, 7a, at the seminar hall, from at 10.00 to 14.00 seminar will be held “National and European Union support opportunities for farmers, conditions to be fulfilled and control arrangements”. Representatives from the rural support service in eastern Latgale regional agricultural administrations will provide the latest information on EU direct payments, State aid measures for rural development, including transitional state aid for suckler cows and sheep mothers, aid to cover the costs of insurance policy acquisition, support for participation in the organic farming scheme, support for the development of the beekeeping sector, the modalities and conditions for the receipt of non-excise diesel fuels, as well as the possibilities and benefits of the electronic login system (EPS). On the other hand, THE business adviser of THE LLCC Rēzekne division, Arthur Skesters, will tell the current conditions regarding the possibilities of attracting EU funding for the construction/reconstruction of manure storage in the measure “modernisation of farm holdings” (time of submission of project applications 09.05.2014 – 09.06.2014).
24 April, in Rēzekne, Gardens Street, 7a, at the seminar hall, from at 09.30 to 12.30 seminar will be held “Construction and reconstruction of manure storage”. At the time of the seminar, it will be possible to gather versatile information from the environmental requirements of the State Environmental Service Rēzekne Regional Environmental Administration regarding the environmental requirements laid down for the management of manure and regarding the irregularities detected in the inspections of environmental inspectors in livestock holdings, but the conditions and procedures for the establishment of manure storage facilities will be informed by the construction board of the municipality of Rezekne. To allow visitors to gain a broader understanding of the practical aspects of the construction/reconstruction of manure storage, it is planned to invite specialists from construction companies.
24 and 25 April will be organized Open door days LLKC in Rezekne (Rēzekne, Garzu Street 7a, c. 303). Anyone who has a topical idea of farming in rural areas will be given the opportunity to consult the economic, accounting or crop specialists individually on the intention to initiate and develop economic activities, as well as to obtain practical information on binding issues, the choice of the economic activity sector, the definition of resource needs, the business registration process, the keeping of accounts in the simple/double record system, the national and European Union financial support possibilities.
28 April, in the farm “Oshleys”, Gribolva, Riebinu municipality, Galenes civil parish, from at 10:00 to 10:00 16:30 seminar will be held "agricultures increasing the competitiveness of production-producing holdings', during which time fruit growers will have the opportunity to listen to the leading researcher of the Latvian National Institute of Forestry, Dr. biol. Sarmittes Strauts and Dr. agr. Edgars Rubauska's narrative of the growing technologies and varieties of strawberries, raspberries and bushes (blackberries, currants, gooseberries); the establishment and maintenance of the orchards, the basic principles of the formation of fruit trees, the most recent varieties of fruit trees. There will also be a practice session on orchards in spring.
