Camps at the New Virgin School

In this summer, the association “JEast” organised two daily camps for children and young people.
During the period from July 25 to July 29, a daily camp “5” was held at the New Jerusalem primary school. AN ELEMENT of 25 pupils aged 10-13. For children of low-income families, the camp was funded by the fund “ABLV Charitable Foundation”, with which the association successfully cooperates for a second year, the other stays in camp were paid by parents.
The week spent in camp for children was like an adventure where they could learn, work and collaborate. Each day and its activities, the creative workshops were related to some kind of stichy.
On Monday, we turned to the sticky AIR, the mast was dragged into the camp's flag, the children carrying out experiments with air, forming flying butterflies, playing Youtro's relay, and ABLV's rusty gifts were also served, a convenient and handy backpack that was like camps “5. On Tuesday, the LAND, so we all went to Peter Giluma's ceramic workshop, where, after narrative and demonstration, we could live with clay, each forming our bowl. In the afternoon there was a fun-oriented competition, where 4 teams, performing different tasks, gathered points to win the prizes.
In the third day of the camp, the ruling stichy – THE FIRE, the tasks were carried out to show the strength of fire, the good and bad works, the team's task was to fill the fire, make the original sunshine from different materials, while the second half of the day went into a hiking, during which the various obstacles had to be overcome, the courage and the force had to be shown, and the directions should be sought.
We took WATER on Thursday because we all went to a recreational complex “Peers” where we had both swim and blowing big air bubbles and running through playing various games.
Within five days, the camp participants had to explain what was the 5 th element and what their role and relation to the environment were around us. As it turned out, element 5 is a MAN who can influence everything around. That is why Friday was devoted TO a MAN, the team formed a human image, embracing it and thinking about the story of that man, the name, the profession. The groups presented their work and assessed the time spent in the camp. At the end of the camp, after the creativity and receipt of certificates, there was a fun discovery.
From 8 to 12 August, due to the financial support of Rezekne municipality, 12 young people (14-17 years) gathered in the New Junior School for the day camp “KSV2” (coloured dreams in the summer of summer).
In the daily routine, both adults and children lack time dreams, the world becomes uniformly and greyish, so in camp “KSV2”, along with young people, we went into a coloured dreams expedition where every day gained its own color and its corresponding activities and creative activity.

"summer camps give you a wonderful chance to spend time with friends, find something interesting, get new ideas. I can tell you that the camp succeeded! There were interesting and unexpected moments.
On the first day we formed the camp flag, playing games, looking at the world through the yellow, self-made glasses and participating in various activities. Leitane Leitane ran a decorative workshop. But the most of that day was the pancakes. We shared the teams and cooked delicious pancakes, it was a special and very delicious afternoon.
On Tuesday, in collaboration with Ilzi Vasilyeva, the graduate of the New Junior School, we made a bracelet, even though it was difficult, but it was interesting to learn something new, and the final result pleased everyone. The second day of camp dominated the energetic red color, so we did a lot of sporting, running, crawling, doing everything to win. It was particularly fun to feel the image of characters and to study the story “Red and Wolf”.
Wednesday was in the color of the green color, and we were studying, we knew many of the nature-related topics. On this day we all went to the excursion, visited the Latvian veneer company “Verems”, the French Trassil Museum “Colnasate”, and met the works of the club master Alexander Doroshchonoka, and also tried to get something from the rock. I liked most of the company “Verems” because there was a chance to see the top Finieris. It was fascinating.
The fourth day, we'll all be in memory. The color of this day was blue, so we made a raft in the morning, which we tried in the Sherjan Lake in the evening. In the afternoon we went to the Pujati Lake, doing various tasks on the way, looking for the buried treasure, collecting dry wood, crawling through the tunnel. When we arrived at the destination, we announced that we had to return because the transport that led to our tents was broken. I did n't believe it, but it had been pre-planned and it turned out to be at school. We went to the lake in the evening, where we had a very delicious soup together. After the devil dinner at school, we were greeted by a dirty and unsleeping night.
On Friday, we were sleepy in the morning (because they had just been sleeping for a few hours), doing the morning and running around the school, sharing impressions and dreams of summer and future. Although time wasn't happy, this camp was the most interesting thing that happened in this summer. Thank the teachers for the missing camp. '
The camp “KSV2” was a week of adventure. It was a very fun and well-spent time with friends. I enjoyed the hiking, organizer's sly strategies, leisure at the lake, and staying at school night. What can be better than this? A lot of bright emotions, thanks to the organisers! '
We, teachers, in camp “KSV2”, together with young people, survived colourful dreams in the middle of the summer, because every person dreams, each of these dreams vary, but they always create positive emotions.
