The first Festival village festival has been spent in the Days of Rezekne municipality
On Friday, July 29, during the Days of Rezekne, THE festival of Ozolaines parish Vilks was celebrated for the first time! In the first part of the evening, the event took place at the beginning of the so-called central street, coming from the Rēzekne side in the Village Village. But in the second part, in the Mountain of Plexelles.
In the first part of the event, people were invited to gather and jointly detect a central street (1.4 km) after complete reconstruction. It is the largest and most densely populated village IN Ozolaines parish – almost 800 inhabitants live in it, while a large number of towns are driving to their small gardens. Due to the high road load, THE Ozolaines parish administration had long been looking for the possibility of repairing it so that the village's main road could be picked up in order to ensure that its citizens and insiders were comfortable with driving conditions. Although the road repair was completed last year, however, due to the restrictions caused by the pandemic, it was not possible to discover it, so that the festival was the right moment to celebrate the road. After the solemn speech of THE Ozolaines parish administration, Edgar Blinov's solemn speech, the red tape was cut, while THE “Zealand” set of THE Ozolaines People's House sang the way, making good and safe travel for all the travellers. Next followed the running races, “Try Pleakshes!” In a 3 km long period, at the end of the so-called Pleikšņu Mountain, where the second part of the evening took place.
The mountain range is the highest place in the surroundings – 204.9 metres above sea level. There is a fantastic view of the city and municipality of Rezekne. In order to make this place more common, several projects were written and supported during this year, receiving co-financing. As a result of the projects, a large letter with a village name was installed at the top of the mountain, with the parallel dragging with Hollywood, which was recognized by everyone in the hill. As well as the old water barrels still performing the water reservoir, the old painting was removed, they have been specially treated and have acquired a new visual form in a graphic style. Edgars Blinovs and Tatjana Sedova, co-operative of the cooperatives “Dina”, dedicated THEIR speeches to the hill. Along with the two new environmental objects, the red tape was cut together, symbolically revealing this place. Both Edgar Blinov and Tatjana, at the end of the festive moment, were given the task of putting their hand in the design of the barrel.
Environmental object – large letters with the name of the village, pin, receiving co-financing within the framework of the financing competition of the cultural division of the municipality of Rezekne. Ozolaines parish administration and the idea of the People's House, the project “symposium“ meet in the Points! ”, was performed by the teachers of the Rēzekne Arts and Design Secondary School, Gunārs Klauch and Andris Anspoks. In turn, restoring and modernising the next 36-year-old barrels helped graphite artists Artis Andrejevs and Walter Murane. The barrel design includes both the characteristic symbol“ Ozolaines parish ”and the names“ Ozolaine ”,“ Pleikes ”, as well as the words“ coded ”IN the caligraphic graphiti in THE style of“ bitter ”Ozolaines parish.
In the event of the event, “Truikes!” was awarded. 15 runners participated in the competition. As a result, at a distance of 3 km in 14 minutes and 26 seconds, Aleksejs Zaicevs, 2 nd place, became the winner of the 3 rd place, with a time of 14 minutes and 17 seconds, won Guntis Rasims, while Sophie Colosov became the leader, presenting a time of 14 minutes and 13 seconds. At the end of the festive event, the event guests were hurried to enjoy the long-standing popular Rezekne group “Vremja tepla”, while the folklore set “Zealand” was celebrating festival celebrators with seasonal soup, which was cooked on a fire at the top of the mountain.
We hope that the Mountain of Plexon, with his restored visual form, will be a pleasant meeting place for hearty conversations, the beginning of love story, and a place where people travel and enjoy the beautiful scenes of our county and the wonderful sunsets! But, above all, we hope that the visitors themselves will do this place, do not boot what is created, and do not leave the waste for themselves! Then it would be worth making more beautiful, more interesting, and realizing another idea.
