For young people

On 18-19 February, the international conference “meeting, ask, Discuss and join the European elections Campaign” was held in Brussels, asking, discussing, discussing and participating in the European election campaign, where every young man from Europe could apply for a tender. The main objective was to provide the necessary information and materials with which young people will be able to inspire others to vote in the European elections, which will be held on 25 May.
Four young people from Latvia, Rēzekne District, and May Hartmane participated in the conference.
“I had a valuable experience at the conference.” During the event, there was an opportunity to inspire the representatives of the European Commission, who, with great honour and enthusiasm, talked about Europe's achievements and the contribution of each country to the European Parliament. Each presentation was also very informative, as examples and the necessary materials were provided to involve young people more effectively in discussions on the elections to the European Parliament and to encourage them to vote on 25 May.
Another valuable benefit is networking. Two days actively communicating with young people from 27 European Member States, examples of positive practices of participants on activities already organised in other EU countries, including ideas on the involvement of young people in the elections, and the creation of valuable contacts for further cooperation.
New projects are already planned for youth experience exchange programmes between five EU Member States, outside the framework of the conference.
In general, this measure motivated me to share our knowledge of Europe and the importance of the voice of every young man in the next European elections ON 25 May at # today, ”says May Hartmann.
