Rēzekne District is changing the business model and working time for the Sherjan post department

Due to low postal service demand, as of June 6, 2023, the business model and working time of the Rēzekne municipality is changed, adapting it to the real needs of the population. From that date, all postal services shall be provided every working day from 12.00 to 13.00 will be provided at the current address of the post office at 14. Outside the postal service, the residents of the working day may choose to receive postal services on request at their place of residence.

Having regard to the low demand for universal postal services in the Postal Post Office, which creates For Latvia's mail the annual loss of around €3 000 will change the business model and working hours of the post office, while the citizens will continue to be comfortable with all the necessary postal services.

Every citizen of the region already has a wide range of opportunities to receive the necessary postal services on demand directly at his home. The poster shall provide the same services at the place of residence of the client available at the place of provision of postal services: the delivery, acceptance and dispatch of letter correspondence and postal parcels, the purchase of stamps and envelopes, the subscription of press publications, the receipt of money transfers and pensions, the payment of utilities and other invoices, contributions PNS account, purchase of commercial goods etc.

With the help of the postman, the people of Sherjan can also receive cash from PNS the account. This and other postage services can be obtained in the place of residence by contacting Latvian postal Customer center by phone: 27008001 or 67008001. 

Upon receipt of a call for withdrawal of a registered shipment, the residents shall have the opportunity to submit a free receipt of the consignment at the place of delivery of the Sherjan postal services, having previously been called by telephone 67008001, 27008001 and indicating the date on which the customer wishes to receive the shipment. On the other hand, when attending the Rēzekne 4 th Postal Division at the Liberation Alliance 155 k–1, the receipt of consignments without prior application is possible every weekday, Monday-Friday, from noon 8.00 to 18.00

The number and placement of postal services shall be determined by the decision of the Council of the Commission of Public Services. On the determination of the obligations of universal postal service, which provides that: For Latvia's mail the territorial unit of each municipality shall have at least one place of supply of postal services.

The people of Sherjans will be informed of the possibility of receiving postal services from 6 June 2023 with special notices in their mailboxes beginning in May 8.
