Sakoposim Latvia - big talka will be held on 25 April
On 25 April of that year, the “big talka” will take place in the twelfth year, which will focus on the environment and improvement of the environment, while also thinking about Latvia's sustainability and direction towards the greenest state in the world. One of the guiding themes of the 2020 “big talka” - “clean up your house, your seat - Latvia”. This year, we are calling for additional waste collection and sorting in addition to the collection and sorting of waste, with a view to making Latvia cleaner and more beautiful.
The “big talks” guideline “clean up your house, your home - Latvia” aims to promote awareness that we need to take care not only about our city, the courtyard, but our country as a whole. That is why, for the second consecutive year with the “big talent” movement, the “idea talc” is also taking place, in which everyone is invited to come up with ideas that can ensure the sustainability of Latvia in the long term, thinking not only how to reduce waste but not to create them.
“If, about ten years ago, we struggled with“ garbage mountains ”in almost every municipality, then more and more municipalities have become almost free of them. As a result, better placement talks are becoming increasingly popular with joint efforts by public places. We are not going to stop it - to make a significant look at the future and focus on the general education of society so that our young people will pass that knowledge to future generations. The previous year's“ world talks ”showed that Latvia is an environmentally friendly nation on the common national background, however, to become the greenest country in the world, every citizen of our country needs to be involved.“ Calls on Vita Jaunzeme, head of the project “big talk”.
In view of the active involvement of local governments in talks, this year, as part of the “big talks” year, the sorting of waste started last year will continue, in which talkers will be invited to separate plastic using blue bags, while other waste will be covered with white bags.
With this year, “big talka” begins a collaboration with the association “1836”, highlighting the collection and improvement of Latvia's 1836 km long border, in order to promote environmental tourism in Latvia. The leader of the project “1836” Enrico says: “In the nature of Latvia we have beautiful river valleys, beaches, pine forests … five years ago, work on the project“ 1836 ”was launched with the aim of reviving the 1836 km long Latvian border by establishing a tourism road. This year, in the framework of the“ big talks ”, we will improve the path we have started by improving infrastructure by launching 100 road poles around the border of Latvia." For citizens, the Communities, schools and families, it is possible to reserve their column by 25 March at the homepage – www.1836.lv/celotaja-map /
Over the course of 11 years, approximately 500 000 participants have participated in “big talks”, Latvians have also talented in other countries of the world. The amount of waste is more than half declining compared to 2008. In many areas of local governments there is no longer waste, so there is a room for improvement of the surroundings and planting of trees in the talks. “These facts are evidence that the“ big talc ”has consistently led to the target of clean and green country. The fact that the annual event of the greatest educational and environmental recovery has brought fruitful results, will also play an important role in environmental protection, but the most important thing is the shift in people's attitudes and habits.“ Big talc ”is a unique movement because it can exist for so long years and people are willing to go and do something for their own country every year. That is the biggest value of the talent, so i would like to thank all those who each year Talko and prepare to do so also this year” stresses Vita Jaunzeme.
