Seminar for employees of State and local government institutions
What is a gift and what is a bribe? At which point can a gift be treated as a bribe and begin to worry that the official becomes corrupt? How to avoid conflict of interest? On these and many other issues, the seminar “Fundamental Principles of Justice in Latvia and Europe: anti-corruption measures and restrictions” were provided by a certified anti-corruption coach Jaroslav Stalchenok. The seminar was held in the municipality of Rezekne, organised by the Europe Direct Information Centre in Eastern Latgale. The aktualitāti of the seminar was confirmed by a large number of visitors - heads of state and local government institutions and employees from Rezekne municipality, Rēzekne City, Ludza, Karsava, Baltinava, Viļānu municipality, Dekšāres and Sokolku parish.
Jaroslav Stalchenok was able to keep the audience's attention in the four-hour period. The feedback shows that the Europe Direct Information Centre will focus on a very topical theme in Eastern Latgale, and the choice of the lecturer has been correct. Visitors to the seminar pointed out that the Europe Direct Information Centre in Eastern Latgale was organising requested courses and seminars and encouraged what the next steps could be.
