On March 19, 2020, the highest entrepreneurs of the 2019 Rēzekne municipality – the power and pride – will be honoured for the eighth time.
Winners in the competition “Rezekne Municipality 2019” will be announced only in the celebration event that will be held in the Nautre Cultural and Sports hall this year, but we are already starting to introduce the applicants. This time they are tenderers who have been nominated in the nomination “annual tourism service provider”.
Gide Ilze Vilcroste “Natural Tourism”

The Nature Guidei Ilzei Wilcroft has a special bird's auspices: she can distinguish every small musician from the song and name it. The company “Natural Tourism” offers bird observation and other natural information to small groups in Latvia and abroad, under the guidance of a natural specialists. Ilze brings bird-watchers from around the world to Luban wetlands for several years, this unique natural area where there are more than two hundred, including rare and specially protected, bird species. More than 180 species of Luban wetlands have been selected as a nesting site.
In 2018, the Nagles parish guest house “Stikans” is the first and only one bird-watching information centre in Latgale. A bird-watching information centre, room for work and small group seminars, as well as commemorative corners for ornithologist Janis Baumanim, who has worked for a long period of years, is set up in one of the farm buildings. “Glass” – it is also a surname of a guest house. In some areas it is called white stork. This bird is also a guest house in English, which Ilze offers at the international trade fair in Great Britain. The world of nature is becoming more popular in the world, people want to see intact nature, observe bird life.
“I'm going to the international tourist tourist fair in Rutland, Britain – British Birdwatching Fair, constantly calling on nature watchers here, and now it is now that they begin to go to Latvia and are delighted because they all like it,” says Ilze.
SIA “MJP BUILDING”

IN the second half of 2018, SIA “MJP BUILDING” (owner Yuri Mežeckis) successfully launched an activity in a new sector – the provision of tourism services, creating a recreational complex “honey house empire”. It is located in the parish of Griškans in Yanapole. The range of tourism services offered is quite wide – for guest house rental activities, accommodation of guest groups (accommodation up to 60 guests), organisation of events, sauna services, room rental seminars etc., children's playground. Co-operation partners also offer horse riding, mobile sauna and tubular hire, catering services.
The site of the guest house is 4 ha, it is packed, 3 ponds are created, an artificial island with a painted bridge, a garden for walks, a dragon. The largest building is built from the logs, the smallest of the clay with the roof of the tiles.
The recreational complex “honey house empire” is located 4 km from Rezekne, in the direction of Kaunas. It is a place that once belonged to the Roman Manor Manor. Our recreational complex has a beautiful and cleaned area of 4 ha, so every guest will be able to feel like a real gentleman or a ma' am.
The number of visitors of the recreational complex has exceeded 2500 in the last 12 months. Information regarding the services is placed in the tourism section of Rezekne municipality, as well as in the tourism portal of Rezekne. Negotiations are currently under way with the association “rural traveller” on membership of the organisation. Has its own profile on the social network Facebook.com.
SIA “AVT-V” (owner Valerijs Brocāns)

THE “silk coln” of SIA “AVT - V” is located at Razna Lake. There is a beautiful sandy beach, a volleyball area, a grill, an attractive celebration room (up to 70 persons), five well-equipped recreational rooms, sauna, a pool, an opportunity to rent boats, yachts and quasi-cycles. The bidders of the applicant – the Consultative Council of Čornajas parish - emphasized the range of services offered, the quality of the services and the environmental protection of the environment.
“Italian house”, Jekaterina Itkača

“Itkaču house” is located in the parish of Makoņkalna, New Zealand, in a picturesque place. The Italian family started their activities in 2015, offering a variety of tourism services. Visitors, especially children, are attracted to the Ettoma rabbit farm, the possibility of feeding them, patting them and keeping them in their lap. In 2019, “Ettomy houses” began offering catering services – meals are presented in thin pancakes with different fills, potato pancakes, vegetable steam. It also offers to purchase commemorative souvenirs – self-prepared hangings from Razna lake stone and shells.
“Itkaču home” is shared by spouses, as well as both their children. The farm is constantly evolving, and new services are offered, which are provided in a qualitative and always friendly atmosphere. In order to achieve a more rapid development of the farm, various projects are also implemented, for example, in 2015, a rabbit cage, a repair room for rabbits, as well as a few rabbit varieties were built with THE funding of the PROJECT supported BY LEARN.
“Itkaču houses” regularly participate in various events, both in the days of Rezekne Municipality and in events organised by the Rēzekne council, cooperation with tourism information centres is carried out, thereby providing the public with information on their holding regularly. “Gorasper”, performer of economic activity Janis Alexanis

“Gorasper” is the municipality of Rēzekne in the municipality of Chornajas in 2017, with the realization of the project “Establishment of a first lease service” supported BY THE EAFRD LEADER. The purpose of the project is to promote one of the active and healthy recreational forms – shopping in steam sauna and heating in the cube.
As the owner of the company emphasizes, the economic operator Janis Alexanis, the mobile opportunities today become more popular and more popular in the people, and the service intended for recreational service is mobile: the mobile sauna, the movable cube, as well as a larger tent for events that can be divided into several parts. A mobile sauna and an outdoor cube – it is a great opportunity to enjoy a warm bath in fresh air and buy a sauna at the place and time of the customer. The cube is located on a car trailer, so it can be taken with you, both in fishing and in a recreational area or with friends.

26 companies were announced for the competition this year (last year – 18). With the decision of the Rēzekne District Council, the Commission visited each of the entrepreneurs at the end of last year to familiarise themselves with the activities, plans and perspectives of the company.
The aim of the competition is to clarify and honor the entrepreneurs of Rezekne, who are active in the territory of the municipality, promoting the development of the business environment, attractiveness of production areas, employment, public activity, public and private co-operation, attractiveness of the work environment, ensuring the wider recognition of the economic operators, the promotion of the production/services produced by them.
