In the secondary school competition “with the heart in Rēzekne District” is won by kaunatieši

Who is the longest river of Rezekne - Rezekne or Malta? Who is the largest company in Rezekne? How many islands are in Razna Lake? Who is the highest mountain in Rēzekne District? On these and many other, hostile and less hostile issues, they had to answer the participants of the erudition game “with the heart of Rēzekne”, to find out which of the secondary schools of Rezekne is best placed in the history, geography, culture of their municipality. The competition organised by the youth affairs specialists of the educational administration takes place for a second year, and this year seven teams from Tiskad, Kaunatas, Dricānu secondary schools, as well as two teams from Maltas and Nautrēnu secondary schools participated in it.
The fight was intense, as the participants themselves found most difficult to recognize personalities after photographs, as well as on the roads, structures and clouds shown on the video screen to recognize the county of the municipality. Some of the questions about their school and parish were prepared by the pupils themselves to ask them.
Sweet prizes and diplomas were received by all participants in the competition, but the best of the best were THE Kaunatas secondary school team (team captain Dmitry Plops), leaving the 1 st team of THE Maltas High School (Captain Evija Laizane) and 1 TP32T High School (Captain Elvita Kotane). It should be noted that the first three places separated a very small margin. The winners - the Kaunatians and the 1 st team of Maltas - acknowledged that the questions had not been difficult, to prepare for the help of the books, including the edition of the Rēzekne Higher School Lingvoterritorial dictionary for the pupils “dawn land”, and also the information on the website of Rezekne municipality.
