“WINTER OLYMPIAD 2023 '' CHORNAIS
On 5 February, the annual non-traditional winter sports games “winter Olympics 2023” were held in Chornai, organised BY Čornajas People's House in collaboration with Čornajas youth centre “Horizontal”. The day of the event in Chornie was not only the sun-filled, but also the sound of children and the emotions of young people.
This year the event took place in a large number of visitors, as it gathered not only local Čornajas villages but also neighbours from other villages. Visitors from Pušas parish were invited to attend and participate in the event: youth centre “KIRBISHI”, Ozolaines parish youth centre “Ozo” and the youth centre “horizon”.
In the opening of the event, everyone warmed up under the musical rhythms, but then the visitors were divided into two parts: young people and adults were able to participate in the disciplines of “faster skipers” and “fastest kamepers”, while other sporting disciplines and activities with snow were expected.
In the children's discipline, “Buminski”, 1 st place was won by Elvita Katkovsky, in discipline “hockejist” 1 st place - Artfield Lazarev and discipline “pyramid” 1 st place - Guntim Brench. After the serious sports disciplines, the smallest could take the art – painting snow with spray spray balloons, and then going to the mountain to visit the ragavas, bladders and all the events of the event!
In the youth discipline, the “fastest skier” in the girls category 1 st place for Andy Marianne Broliam, 2 nd place for Daniel Paplavsk, 3 rd place for Milanai Terentyeva. Place in competition: 1 st place for Dmitry Abajev, 2 nd place for Rihards Elksnim and 3 rd place for Daniil Jermakov. In discipline, the “fastest banner”: 1 st place for Dmitry Abajev and Yuri Kvitov, 2 nd place for David Yashim and Rihards Elksnim, 3 rd place for Christapam Kauper and Anastasia Andrejeva.
By the end of sporting activities and disciplines, it was not all! The most visitors were waiting for a ride with a snow motorcycle along the Razna Lake, which was memorable! Similarly, more adrenaline fans also had a chance to go on a quasi-cycle used specifically for young people. After working, they could warm up to warm tea, bread and biscuits AT Čornajas in the People's House. The smallest visitors of the event continued to run and operate, but the big ones were already going through more serious negotiations.
