Activities, dynamism and creativity at the Faculty of RTA engineers
The engineer faculty has worked actively on the preparation of new programmes and activities, both for the general education, vocational school youth and potential students, stakeholders from the business environment.
In 2016, the Faculty of Engineers offers new study programmes – Level 1 vocational higher education programmes “food processing”, “production logistics” and “metalworking”. All the above programmes were developed at the request of the labour market. This creates confidence that specialists in these areas are required in the labour market and graduates will have wide-ranging employment opportunities. In the Masters study programme “laser technologies”, which is designed in collaboration with the Mitform High School in Germany, students of course 2 will already have the opportunity to study in Germany for one year and obtain two national diplomas.
We continue and expand the range of activities in technical innovation for young people in schools. This year training has also been started by prize pupils, while the Rezekne municipality visits schools for a quarter of a year. The work is continued by the programmer club, which brings together creative young people interested IN THE field and computer science. Entrepreneurs are invited to address us with the challenges and ideas that we can develop to a prototype in our laboratories with students, perhaps one of the future engineers will be a prospective employee.
Exciting activities, dynamism and creative spirit, who are in the faculty of engineers. Every lead is always expected to join the engineer.
