Associations and foundations at seventeen SEA branches may apply for youth engagement to the public
State Employment Agency (SEA) invites associations and foundations to apply for a measure Development of skills necessary for work in the non-governmental sector for implementation and involving young people aged 18 to 29 years at work for the benefit of society. Applications by 12 February of that year shall be taken BY SEA branches in Aizkraukle, Bauska, Dobele, Jelgava, Jçkabpils, Jurmala, Kraslava, Liepaja, Limapos, Ludza, Madona, Ogre, Rēzekne, Riga, Sigulda, Talsi and Ventspils.
It is an opportunity for societies and foundations to attract new, energetic and prospective workers to their work, while young people - the opportunity to acquire professional experience and develop skills, working IN THE field and project management, assisting in administrative work, organising cultural and sporting events, leading groups, working with youth affairs and performing other tasks. In addition, the staff of THE SEA branch will help to select the most relevant candidates for the specific activities of the association or foundations and the most appropriate candidates from the SEA registered unemployed aged 18-29.
An association or foundation registered in Latvia may apply for participation in this NVA event, except political parties. A member of the event or a member of the event will have to perform five days a week: not less than 4 hours and not more than 8 hours per day. Duration of engagement in the event: 2 to 6 months.
The young man, participating in the event, will receive a scholarship from THE SEA - 5 euros per day, the amount of scholarship per month will be calculated according to days worked. THE NVA of the participant of the event shall be insured against accidents, as well as pay the health check if it is provided for in the regulatory enactments regarding mandatory health examinations. If an unemployed person with disabilities is involved in the work of the company, where necessary, the place of implementation of the measure must be established in a place of residence or functionally adapted to the working environment, ensuring free access and movement.
How do non-governmental organisations apply for the implementation of the measure?

Completed application by 12 February of that year to be submitted or sent by post to a BRANCH of THE SEA where the place of implementation of the measure is established in the service area. An application, certified by a secure electronic signature, may also be sent to AN e-address of THE NVA branch. (contact details of THE NVA branches available ON THE NVA website)
THE SEA branch will organise the selection of active employment measures for the Commission, which will assess the compliance of the application with the conditions of the measure and take a decision to approve or refuse the implementation of the measure by the non-governmental organisation. On the decision taken, THE SEA branch will inform the non-governmental organisation and, in the event of a positive response, invite to participate in the selection of the unemployed and enter into a contract for the implementation of the measure.
