The project “Etno + jazz” originally appeared as a co-operation project of two Jasepa willow music academics — jazz and ethnousicology — a student collaboration project for the Academy festival “decibels”. Its goal is to create a concert program that combines jazz and People's music elements. For the fifth consecutive year, this project is one of the most anticipated and most successful events in THE JVLMA school year, and has also become one of the main events of the annual festival “decibels”. The project is organized BY JVLMA asoc. prof. Indriatic Weitner and lecturer Zane Smite. Each year, the project is also given a “theme” – a direction to help students in the creative process. This year, this topic was “archive.” Students had to study and use the archive of two archives, the Latvian folklore repository, and the garamantas.lv records archive audio .lndb.lv. of the Latvian National Library. The project resulted in three different and very interesting concert programmes, where each of them had used and arangled music and songs from both archives. With excitement, the project came out in Riga's art room this year, but it will be possible to live with Lūznavas in the manor. Admission fee 3 euro
