A Dricānu secondary school team won the competition “with the heart in Rēzekne District”
On October 21, a competition for secondary school students “with the heart of Rezekne” took place. This time, his knowledge of the Rēzekne municipality was examined by six secondary school teams – Dricānu secondary school, Eastern Latvian technology secondary school, Nautrēnu secondary school, Maltas secondary school and Kaunatas secondary school and Viļānu secondary school.
Victory laureates in this competition with 24 points a Dricānu high school team consisting of Emile Kapacis, Arnolds Anufrijevs, Raitis igram, Evie Drebeitce, Christ Kokina.
In order to find out which team is best placed in the history, culture, geography and recent events of Rezekne, the pupils had to answer the questions of the Rēzekne municipality's interest education specialist Anita Ruth, such as the name of the film that was taken IN Kaunatas parish (“I am here”), how many children and youth centres are in Rezekne municipality (19) etc.
Some of the questions about their school and parish were prepared by the pupils themselves to ask them. Similarly, the pupils had to answer how different objects, food products, objects are called in Latgalian language.
In an intense competition with 22.5 points 3 rd won a Maltas secondary school team, 2 nd place with 23 points - Kaunatas High-school team. The awards from the Rēzekne municipality have been awarded by the local government education and sports administration.
An erudition competition cycle for pupils will continue as early as 16 November, when the competency of “my Latvia”, success and knowledge of our country will be checked by the team of primary school pupils of Rezekne.
