Latgale region successfully represented in the international tourism exhibition Balttour 2019
For the twenty-sixth time between 1 and 3 February, the international tourism exhibition “Balttour 2019” was held in Ķīpsala (Riga). The organisers of the exhibition say that there were 850 participants from 41 countries. In order to avoid confusion in the rich range of information, “Balttour” is traditionally divided into two halves - “traveling the world!” and “reveals Latvia!”. Latgale, in a new design stand, warmly called for the lifting of the blue lakes. It is pleasure to conclude that Latgale is still a popular and favorite destination for Latvia.
“Apceļo the world in the hall” could go after more exotic feelings and explore the world's favorite destinations. The largest tourism operators and agencies in Latvia are also presenting their best offers here. Rest in the world's best resorts, sunny beaches, climbing mountains and going into cruise travel - that is what can be found in this hall.
A busy and warm atmosphere is the one that describes the halli “reveals Latvia!”. A diverse offer of Latvian tourism is presented annually. From traditions to modern and innovative offers; from the lake of lake on the shore of lake to crazy adventures in parks; from the sea coast to the border of Latvia. It is a pleasant form of pleasure to find both those who prefer to rest in the countryside and those who choose to stay in the city.
In this hall, travellers were invited to spend their holidays in Latgale. Every year, representatives of all Latgale tourism information centres join together in one joint stand to talk not only about the tourism offer of their own, but also to present Latgale as a single destination. This year Latgale presented itself to visitors in a new form, thus highlighting their less familiar side. The visual design of the joint stand, which has become more compact, transparent and “lighter”, changed. The stall was dominated by the white, black and green colour, which successfully coincided with the central rotation of the bench, for which the exhibition of the new tourism object “moto & Metal NESTER CUSTOM art gallery” (Preiļi) was found at the time of the exhibition. It is a unique metallic exhibit gallery where art works are created from cars and motorcycles. The opening of the gallery is expected on May 11. The snow-white motorcycle and the lady made from metal parts could be proud of the visitor side of the exhibition.
Latgales stendā “Balttour 2019” apmeklētāji acumirklī kļuva smaidīgāki un laimīgāki, jo te par endorfīnu jeb laimes hormonu līmeņa palielināšanu organismā rūpējās “Laimes muzeja” (Krāslavas novads) direktore Ilona Kangizere, aicinot piedalīties radošās aktivitātēs. Tas ir vienīgais šāda veida muzejs Baltijā. Atklāts 2018.gada vasarā kā dāvana Latvijai tās simtgadē. Savukārt bērnu uzmanību piesaistīja sikspārņi, kas ieradās no “Daugavpils sikspārņu centra”. Skatoties uz pasauli caur 3D brillēm, virtuālajā realitātē nokļūt aicināja Ziemeļlatgales pārstāvji. "Maiznīca Dzīles" un "Šmakovkas muzejs" laipni aicināja iepazīt kulināro mantojumu pierobežā.
The tourism offer of Latgale is very diverse, so that every traveller can find a suitable recreational form. For three days, the tourist information centre specialists told visitors about new and existing tourist attractions, helped to select the most suitable destinations for travellers, responded to many tourism-related issues and formed individual routes for travellers.
The exhibition-fairs “Balttour 2019” is an annual tourist festival where tourism professionals, specialists and people with a lifestyle are met. People who come here for the first time reveal a lot of new ones, break old stereotypes and look at the world, including Latgale, other eyes.
The exhibition has been closed with a sense of satisfaction about a well-done work and the realization that the new tourism season is very close and Latgale tourism objects have been fully prepared. The organisers of the exhibition promise to think of a new interesting concept in the organisation of the exhibition in the coming year.
For the successful Latgale representation “Balttour 2019”, the tourism information centre says thanks to its local government and the association “Latgale Region Tourism Association“ Ezerland ”.
