Latgale athletes participate in the world championship.
From 21 to 25 October of that year, a world championship was held in Budapest in Budapest, where 32 national athletes participated. A Latvian team was represented in the bush, which can also be proud of good achievements.
In the professional group League Latkovska, who currently lives and drives in Great Britain, the weight category 68 + in the most difficult women's discipline (two battle with 24 kg) won second place. In individual disciplines, Edgars Getmanechovics (Vecumnieki) and Vladislavs Voitehovics (Jacob) remained behind the honour. Vladislavs Voitehovics (Jçkabpils), Vasilijs Ginkko (Ventspils), Maris Rubulis (Viļāni), Edgars Getmanchs (Vecumnieki) - third place, while in the long cycle our guys became the fifth.
In the amateur class, Ludmila Ivanova (Augšdaugava municipality), with his first start, immediately won the first place in his weight category.
In the veterans, Alfred Kokin and Yuri Kopasov, in their age groups and categories, won the first and second place respectively. The third place of the Latvian veterans (M. Rubulis, V. Ginkko, A. Kokins, J. Kopasov).
Parallel to the world games, where the first place with a 32 kg bomb struggle was fought by the League of Latkovsky and the Army, Maris Rubulis won second place.
The Latvian Embassy Association is grateful to the local government of Daugavpils City, Jçkabpils City, Ventspils City, Augšdaugava municipality, Rēzekne municipality and Bauska municipality for the support of athletes. And, of course, thank the athletes themselves and their coaches for their work, the diligence and persistence at this difficult time.
