A children's summer camp “Music planet” took place in the rural house “Jānis”

For a second year, the association “Rural Sate”, in cooperation with the fund ABLV Charitable Foundation and the Rēzekne municipality, organizes a creative summer camp for the children of the “Music planet” in Rezekne District for children of low-income and multi-child families. Site of the camp – Feimaņu parish rural house “Jānis”.
The time of the camp for children was varied and interesting with opportunities to participate: in sporting activities, they were shooting, team, orientation, luck and other games, as well as every morning rose (pedagogy Sandra's feel, Aivars Kaupuja, Artis Upenieks); musical activities - instrument game, the acquisition of Latgalian People's songs (pedagogical Janis Mežinskis); musical dances (pedagogy Sandra feel), artistic creative activities were drawn, painted, glued and produced by various creative works, using a variety of materials and techniques (pedagogical Silvija Mežinska), and educational activities in which environmental protection issues, waste sorting issues and developments have been identified in artistic ACTIVITIES.
By deepening knowledge of environmental issues, informative video material on the necessity of sorting of waste was created during the camp (the video specialist Maris Justs). A hiking was organised during the camp, with the aim of familiarisation with nature, the diversity of wild plants and the possibilities of exploitation.
In the quiz, “do you know Latvia?” the children showed their knowledge in response to questions about our land. The children also knew white signs and their explanation, as well as Latvia's articles (teacher Sandra felt). Signs from natural materials were created, depicted in creative works. In the camp, dancers were organized in the evening, evening at the fire and watching the film. In the free time, there was a table-game tournament, a theatre sports activity and a survey of Latvian people's fairy tales (teagogi Sandra feel and Ilze Mežinska). At the end of the camp, a concert was organized for children and guests of children, in which children showed a weekly performance.
