Big sun “Colnasat”

Since September, Rēzekne has been held in four primary schools – Feimaņu, Gaigalavas, Reznas and Sakstagala Jānis KCo. in elementary school - the creative workshops organised and conducted by young people and teachers from the High School of Arts and Design of Rezekne and the High School of Ivanova Rezekne. These were workshops of rotating, ceramics, wood, textile accessories and ancient clothes, including traditional music and folk songs. The music workshops have taught and repeated songs about the sun: “sun pins crown”, “dressed, sun, silver” “,“ silk, silk rye vuorpa ”. In addition to the dough, the story of musical instruments as well as the musicisation itself is mentioned. In the sun painting workshops, small suns were painted on the canvas. There are more than 150 small suns combined in one big sunlight.
Workshops created an interest in acting, inviting them to know the sun and its significance. As the project activity in schools started in autumn – at a time when the sun remains less – it was searched in accessories. It will now be woken up in the final event before Christmas that will take place in Fr. “Colnasate” in the tradog museum, where the cultural environment of Latgale peasants is located. Each school will create his own prepared solar game, will be seen in the project over the course of the project with solar signs, summed up for the creative contest “ai, sunny, loving, white” participants. The participants of the event combined the sunshine and singing the sun songs as well as the taught melodies. Guest house owners are invited to the final event so that they can implement the project ideas in their homes.
