Mākoņkalna parish project “management of Mākoņkalna parish water bodies”
THE parish area OF Mākoņkalna is rich in water and fish resources in them. Part of the parish is part of a particularly protected area in Razna National Park, where one of the main values is the wealth and diversity of water bodies and natural resources in them, which need to be monitored and protected. In some lakes, fish stock replenishment projects have been implemented, so in order to successfully maintain existing fish resources it is necessary to carry out controls to prevent the harvesting of fish not complying with regulatory enactments. The project “Mākoņkalna parish water body management” was submitted and approved at the Council meeting of the Fish Fund, the “conservation measures of fish resources by the national authorities or the municipalities responsible for the protection of fish resources”. A binoklis Canon 10 x 30 IS purchased and four automatic cameras totalling EUR 1810,26. The aid from the fish fund is EUR 1496.08, while the co-financing of the project was provided by the association “Razna National Park Society” -- 2 35,02 EURO and Mākoņkalna parish administration -- 79.16 EURO.
