At the end of the weekend, the Nature Protection Board calls for bird days throughout Latvia

During this weekend, on 9-10 April 2016, bird days are held throughout Latvia, organised by the Nature Protection Board in cooperation with the Latvian ornithological association and other organizations. Stakeholders will be able to participate in both bird-watching excursions and hiking in various special areas of conservation, creative and exploratory activities and events in other places, knowing bird life by doing bird cages, etc. Bird Days are financially supported by the Latvian Environment Protection Fund.
Participation in all events will be free of charge.
LATGALE

Bird-watching excursion around Luban Lake (with bus), enjoying spring bird migration and natural barrier Luban wetlands. Appointment at 9:00 Madona Square, Madona. Weather-related clothing, lunch and, if any, binoculars. The excursion will be chaired by Andris Decant. 10.04 pl. 11:00 bird cage workshop in Rezekne (carpenter street 8).
Bird cage workshop in Rezekne at Nature Protection Administration in Latgale Regional Administration Bureau carpenter street 8. Visitors will be able to prepare bird cages. It is preferable to take a hammer.
10.04.pl .9: 00 bird day in Luban wetlands.
The hiking with bird-watching in the Ignan pond and the apostle cage workshop at Luban wetted the information centre. Length of travel 6-8 km. Appointment at 9.00 at Luban Wetlands Information Centre - Aiviekstes Hydronode, Ošupes civil parish, Madona municipality. 9.04. pl .10: 00 – 15:00 event “birds in Ziemer Manor Park” Alūksne municipality in Ziemeru parish. During the event, a variety of creative workshops will be active in the Ziemer Manor Park, there will be a chance to participate in competitions, listen, learn, explore bird voices, watch movies about birds and events in nature.
9.04 pl .9:00 – 15:00 bird days in Līgatne Nature Trails. Hiking for bird-watching, birdshafts for sweaters and Diagrabian yarn.
10.04 pl .9: 00 birthday trip in nature reserve “Sedas marshes”. Gathering in the centre of Jerusalem, and then approximately 3 hours of hiking.
