SEA calls on employers to offer jobs for young people to obtain first work experience
The State Employment Agency (SEA) is also implementing the Youth Guarantee support measure “first work experience for young people” and invites employers - entrepreneurs, self-employed persons, as well as associations or foundations - to offer jobs for young people with vocational or higher education. The employer, when recruiting young people, receives financial support from the European Social Fund (ESF) and is able to attract a new, educated and prospective employee to his enterprise. This year, the Youth Guarantee support measure “first work experience for young people” is planned to create 522 jobs across the country.
The head of the Youth Guarantee event project Mārtiņš Nešpors: “A number of years of NVA experience show that many young people are unemployed, working on employers IN THE framework OF NVA activities and certifying their professional capacity and benefits, later become a valuable benefit for the company. In addition, in view of the situation in the field of vacancies, it is clear that several employers are still looking for a variety of specialists, such as programmers, lawyers, economists, cooks, unlocks, and THE SEA are registered young people with the relevant vocational education who are looking for work and are willing to work in these professions. Our employees AT SEA branches will help to choose the most suitable candidates from young people with vocational or higher education who are registered in the agency. '
In the youth guarantee support measure, “first work experience for young people” involves young people registered IN THE SEA aged 18-29 who have vocational or higher education and who are not currently studying full-time. In order to get a job experience, they can work on the employer with financial support from THE SEA. For the first half-year youth wage, THE SEA pays a grant of 160 euros (for young people with disabilities - 240 euros), while in the second half of the year, THE CIS grant is 100 euros per month (for young people with disabilities - 200 euros). However, the employer must also provide a co-payment for the salaries of young people, as it cannot be less than the minimum wage laid down in the country. It should be stressed that the workplace must be designed specifically for participation in this event or vacant at least 4 months before the start of the event, and the employer must not employ young people in unqualified and low-skilled jobs.
