School was founded in 1988 as a school, kindergarten. From 1 September 1993, when Class 5 opened, the primary school gradually converted into primary school.

The school is located 7 km from Rezekne in the centre of Valmiera parish.

School Environment Characteristics

The school is carrying out four basic educational programmes:

  • Special basic education programme for students with learning disabilities, code 21015611,  
  • Special basic education programme for students with language disorders, code 21015511

Skolā ir 9 klases un 4 pirmsskolas grupas, kurās mācās 116 skolēni un 74 pirmsskolas audzēkņi no Vērēmu, Ilzeskalna, Lendžu pagasta un Rēzeknes pilsētas.

A friendly and creative collective is working at the school:

  • 24 teachers and 11 technicians.
  • Support staff: logoped, psychologist, special teacher, librarian, career consultant.

School special offers:

  • The school uses shares “school bus” activities (two Valmiera parish buses and one Lendzu parish bus are taken from pupils).
  • The school is located in the subcity (10-minute drive).
  • The school library works creative, actively participating in the promotion of pupils' reading skills.

  • Co-operation agreements have been concluded with the Rēzekne Technology Academy on cooperation in the implementation of student practice programmes, as well as in the exchange of information and experience aimed at the development of scientific research and learning methodological cooperation between the Parties, and a contract with LU on participation in the project “Learning Power” No. 57 -19/40, providing the school with an English-language teacher.
