Rēzekne municipality is allowed to swimming in public water bodies
The municipality of Rezekne conducts monitoring of bathing waters in public bodies of water and local government in May, June, July and August.

The bathing sites in Luban Lake (Gaigalavas parish area) and Razna Lake (Lipušku village at the school) are included in the list of bathing sites to be monitored by the State budget.
Physico-chemical and microbiological examinations were performed, as well as visual observations of each bathing site.
In accordance with microbiological indicators of the monitoring of bathing water quality and the results of visual inspection in July, it is permitted to swim in all these bathing areas.
In 2021, the municipality of Rezekne has concluded a contract with VSIA “Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre” on the performance of bathing water quality monitoring.
The Health Inspectorate shall inform that the Rezekne is located in all bathing areas where the water samples are taken on 5 July and the test reports have been received, swim is allowed.
