In the first holidays of April, Latvia'S 2023 Senior Championship was held in Riga NGO. The competition went through a FIDE rule in nine cards with quick chess control. 58 players from 50 to 90 years of age participated in the tournament.
All provinces of the Republic from Ventspils and Liepaja to Rezekne and Daugavpils were represented. Our province was represented by three chess. Dainim Vilnius succeeded in getting the best sixteen, trying to win six points out of 9. He showed the third best result IN THE S50 group, raising his rating by 23 points. Anatoly Jasinsky collected 4.5 points and settled in 34 th. Both chess from Maltas. THE Vērēmu representative Alexander Vasilkov won 4 points and closed the championship at position 40, higher than the starting point, placing a rating at 21 points.
