Lielās talkas rīts Kaunatā iesākās ar pulcēšanos pie estrādes. Paši aktīvākie turp bija atnākuši jau pulksten 9:00. Citi, mazākie Kaunatas iedzīvotāji, pievienojās vēlāk, bet paspēja arī sparīgi padarboties.
Kaunata Lielās talkas dienā kļuva skaistāka par pāris puķu podiem ar dekoratīvām puķēm; sakoptu kalna nogāzi, kurā rotāsies vides objekta KAUNATA burti; vēl kārtīgākiem daudzdzīvokļu namu pagalmiem un, protams, katra personīgajiem īpašumiem.
