Among the best social workers of 2018 – the social worker of Rezekne, Mara Taranda
On Friday, 22 March, the best 2018 social workers in Latvia were celebrated at the Latvian National Library. The special prize of the jury was received by the social worker of the Social Service of Rezekne for work with various customer groups Mara Taranda.
In social work, Mara Taranda has been working since 2001. Mara is an employee who is able to visually see, evaluate, deepen, and creatively address social problems. In Feimau parish, she is “universal” - she can find a key to both the family and the unemployed and the gray-haired mother who needs care.
Mara is very communicable, so she quickly finds contact with people. Both the complementarity of their knowledge and the transfer of professional skills to new workers have been actively involved.
Their direct responsibilities are carried out in a conscientious and professional manner with high return and self-confidence, helping customers get out of crisis situations by actively engaging in solving their problems.
When he comes to the parish social worker, he is convinced that he will be heard and will receive professional help, and Mara also gives it.
As a result of his 17 years of work experience and knowledge, she is willing to pass on to young workers who begin work as carers.
Mara is sensitive, understanding, but at the same time professional. In his collective, she is a model in the organisation of social work, showing it as a versatile, creative and interesting profession.
In the free time, Mara is an active member of the Latvian Polish Union Rēzekne division, Jutrzenka.
Colleagues and customers say about Mar: “our Marina!”
“Very tolerant, has been able to find her coat for life, work, family.” A soul man. '
