Photo series on “Es asu Drycani”
At the end of the weekend, on July 31 and August 1, the photoprotrait exhibition “Es asu Drycani” produced by Lana Kazobek will be seen in the parish of Dricans. The photograph series is implemented as an initiative of the municipality of Dricana parish with the financial support of the creative work of the municipality of Rezekne.
In the large-format photographs taken in 2020, a uniform whole is composed of ten portraits of the people of Dricana parish and ten of the natural landscapes and cultural and historical elements of this area, including architectural, fixation.
“My native Drucane village is likely not to be much different from others, but i am sure that if the same landscape is seen thousands of times and even more footsteps, these years of vision, touch, hearing and other senses are precipitated, become invaluable, and close to the heart.” It becomes a significant part of the local human identity. So, a great value. The assembling of two images in one is nothing new, but it was this technique that seemed to me to be the most appropriate time to show, symbolically, how the neighborhood grew over time with people and vice versa, with the concept of the exhibition presented by Lana Kazlauskiene.
The photograph was selected for the series by the photograph itself, but it was also influenced by the views expressed by the local population on the most important and attractive places in the Dricans. The pictures of the two parish houses in the parish area, the secondary school, the Cacaranian castle, the baron Manteiferous property ruins, as well as a number of the heartbeat's heartbeat landscapes.
The exhibition consists of portraits of various generations, among them: Imalda Kazushhev, Stanislava Kompa, Robert Saxon, Sylvia Lebane, Maris Laureckis, Arthur Eriņš, Ineta Velicko, Regina Armane, Anton Kindzuļs and Janis Vespers. The exhibition works are accompanied by short comments by the autopsy.
The photograph series as an original Dricana parish card will be available to stakeholders in the near future in the Rēzekne municipality.
Lana Kazlauskiene is active in the field of public relations and marketing in the cultural sector. The photograph is a free-time work for which the basics have been acquired in the professional photography school, Riga.
