Vilani association in world talks planting trees
On Saturday, September 18, the world talks took place. As the cleaning and waste collection talks in Latvia are traditionally held in spring, the autumn talks in our country are devoted to pivotal works and planting of trees. The Rēzekne municipality of Vilnius took part in the world talent by engaging in the “institution for its happiness tree”.
On the morning of 17 September, each of the Vilnius parish pre-school educational institutions planted one apple in the morning of 17 September, forming the form of a circle. It is planned to create a Green Natural Class, where children will spend time in fresh air, improving their knowledge of the environment, the nature of life-friendly life, and learning about the surroundings, practically working with natural materials. By settling the newly created nature class, children of the pre-school educational institution will continue to work for other years by planting new trees, thereby creating a “harvest park.”
On Friday afternoon, the Nature Friends Research Centre “Thistle”, with the slogan “generations of generations of oak alley”, launched the creation of an oak alley, setting up four oak trees as symbols for four territorial units forming the Vilnius Association – Dekshores, Sokolku, Vilnius parish and Vilnius City. The trees were planted by former city and parish leaders – Juris Tuch, Janis Benislavskis, Lucia Healthova and Arnolds Pudulis, along with the head of the temporary administration of the municipality of Rezekne, Monweed Schwarz and the Vilnius secondary school class 3b (teacher Anita speaker).
We also invite you to participate in the world talent, both by summing up the neighborhood and by setting up your happiness tree so that each individual and all together form Latvia as a green, healthy and happy country!
