27 August at 12.00 in the Antonian graveyard, a tomb monument to the great Latgale ceramic Anton Ushmim (1944-2015) will be discovered in the Preilu municipality.
Anton Ushpelis was born on August 14, 1944, in the Preilian district of Silaiana as a third child in the rich Latgale podiers. The love of the clay came in the days of children, helping her father: loving the clay, forming a whistle, with her brothers trying to get a poker's wheel. The family of rabbits is the only one in Latvia whose immediate succession has been engaged in podation in the sixth generation. The succession is transferred from his father's son. Around 1800, the Antoniazu Manor in the Dooba Suite (centre of ancient forest workers; the name derived from the burnt burnt) (now Riebinu municipality, Silaian ceramic cradle) contains news of Ignatu Ušmouse, who had a son, Staņislavs (b. 1837). Stanislava's newspaper, peasant, burnt, and praised podor was Polycarp Wilchan's grandfather Tom Wilcans (1821 –1883), all known as “Vaco Tooman”. Snislava also shows the news that he was swinging the pots. Stanislava and round (born 1847) have three children, Paulina and Maria, younger son Anton (1884 –1919). Anton and Julia Ushmice (born in Babres, 1886-1927) were born in the family of five children born in the family of five children on 22 November 1912. Anton, who was born in Babri and Kaļvas, and Julia Ushmice (born Kancans, 1921-1994), who have a Paulani, Vilcans and Riuchi, have six children in their family. Three of them -- Anton (1944-2015), Peter (1950-2003) and Victor (b. In 1957, he has opted for podation for his life. Anton's work is continued by son Aivars (b. 1974) and grandson Jumis Ingmārs (b. 1999).
The main area of the works of Anton Ushpeel was the decorative ceramic, which reveals the personality of the master, the feeling of the world, the attitudes of the people's art heritage, and the understanding of the importance of Latgale ceramics in the lives of the modern man. Ceramic creations are emotionally expressive, their decorative expression increased. Anton Ushpelim is a household dishwasher, and he searched for the possibilities of variation of ancient forms. A diverse search for constructions and proportions is observed in the oil dishes and squirrels produced by him. A calm, clear line of lines characterises milk pots, proud and large beer mugs. The vases are proving with strength, the saturation of silhouette rhythms, their rapid change. The structure is accompanied by a hollow, “surface” band, stylised bird, animal figures, as well as a wider range of domestic scenes covering the entire size of the container. Much time and creative enthusiasm is devoted to the preparation of candles, which requires both the sense of rhythm and the knowledge of the clay. It is surprisingly circular, triangular, as well as the motifs of the Australian tree. It is a proof of ceramic mastery.
In 1964, Anton's participation in exhibitions in Latvia and the former USSR, France, Portugal, ČSSR, the Bulgarian TR, the Hungarian TR, the Polish TR, VDR began. The number of exhibitions reaches hundreds. Regularly organizes personal exhibitions, participate in traditional Latgale podiers and international fairs. A. Ushpelis was active in Andreja Paulan's applied art studio and TLEM “Rēzekne county puzzles”, works to be seen in Latvian and foreign museums, as well as in private collections.
There is a three-star order between the awards received, the Latvian artist Union diploma and THE A. Paulani medal. In 2014, a lifelong scholarship for life contribution to the preservation and development of Latgale ceramic traditions, in 2015 as a life contribution to the preservation and development of Latgale ceramic traditions, was awarded with a thank-you article by the Prime Minister.
Anton Ushpeel's active work was not stopped for a moment. It may also be attributed to the participation in the killing, exhibitions and studios of the People's applied art. In both his workshop and his studio, the new masters were given not only a secret. It is also worth noting MR Ushpeel's contribution by restoring MR Paulan's cepli AT the Jasmuiža Museum of Jasmuiža in 1999, as well as implementing extensive exhibitions (a loop cycle “bread”, a candle cycle, the enrichment of Latgale ceramic grandmaster portraits in clay, etc.). It would be hard to imagine what Latgale's ceramic would be if there were no successors. In August 2014, an old man marked a 70-year anniversary with an ornate personal exhibition, but a year later, on August 26, 2015, a severe illness bursts Anton Ushpeel's creative and rich life thread. On 27 August, the tomb of Svetlana Skačkova - Marchenko - Marchenko-shaped grave monument to Anton Ushmim will be discovered in the graves of the family. The talented sculptor Svetlana Skačkova - Marchenko, among whose works Anton is a monument at Latgale's cultural history museum in Rēzekne, monument to cardinal Juliana Vaivodam at Rēzekne Jesus's heart cathedral, etc., was created by the monument as a stone stem with a base. The monument's composition is based on a large ceramic mug and a Jumja belt as a symbol of the close relationship of the potter's work with the ethnicity. “Jumis is a sign of the family tree, it is the intergenerational collaboration, it is the heritage of generations and the wealth of experience. It is a true happiness when the heart does not protect his pain and the bitterness, but opens his heart to his brothers and sisters, each other enjoying and shouldering his shoulder, changing his experiences and not envying, perfecting and decorating his divine position of the world!,” -- that is what the fatherhood says about the lessons and visions of his work.
