Investment of dance collectors, collective management and municipal attitudes – key to success of successful dance collective activities in Rezekne municipality
In the last Saturday, 17 People's dance collectors from the city of Rezekne, Rezekne and Viļānu took part in the annual concert view “Fixed Sadancis 2011”. By this time, the owner of the master was injured and guests were taken by the staff of the municipality of Dricana parish. Each collective took two own dances, while their performance and qualification categories were awarded by the jury.
According to Inara Pleikšne, head of the cultural division of the municipality of Rezekne, the aim of the event is the growth and self-discipline of collective artistic levels. “It is important that collectively promote their growth. In 2013 there is a song and dance festival. This event must begin in time. The results of the view show that collectors have worked much – 14 collectively won the first category, three – second,” says I.Pleikšne.
The jury was composed of Rēzekne City, Rēzekne and Viļānu dance collectors, Ilmārs Dreļs, horeograph and Rēzekne Higher School Lector Gunar Strod, leader of the Ludza municipality dance collective Sarmitte Stapule – Zagorska and Inara Pleiksne.
Gunar Strod, after the event, concludes that it has been at a very high level. I would like to emphasise that it was not just a sketch but a very high-quality concert that was interesting to viewers. Our collective dance and stage culture are at a very high level, there was no mention and misunderstanding on the stage. Two hours passed in one breath, "G.Strod says,“ dancers tried not just to get a bigger score, but because they like the process. ”It could be seen very bright on the stage. It is common that no one wants anything during the crisis. But this concert shows that people have been able to find an occupation that gives them pleasure and can give their positive feelings to the people.”
G.strod emphasizes that there is nothing on the ground and the key to our success is in three factors: the contribution of the dance collectors Ilmārs Drail, the work of collective managers and the attitudes of the municipality. “We have a great superconductor.” His dances as a horeograph and the selected Etnographic material help to maintain collective performance at a good artistic level. The people of this dance are loving and happy to look. This is our greatest benefit, "says G.Strods.
“The second factor is the professionalism of dance managers. They are energetic, creative ideas rich. Some managers have been working for long years, others have started to run relatively recently and have been able to achieve much in a short period. When there is no song festival year, there is something like a decline – but there is nothing to do with us. Even new sets arise," G.Strods said. For the first time this year, Kaunatas's middle-class dance collective, the Rēzekne 5 th High School People's dance collective, the “Light” and the middle-generation dance collective “Cousuls”, participated in the Rēzekne 5 th Secondary School of People's dance.
G.strod also welcomes the attitude of the municipality of Rezekne to cultural development in the municipality: “collective action and the raising of their professionalism are a matter of local cultural policy — the case of Rezekne is supported.” His wish in the future is the development of dance collections and musicians to create new dances, likely to be included in the repertoire of songs and dance festivals. He believes that the potential for this is good.
