On 28 January, the Chairman of the Board of Governors of Rigvir and the company's founder, Jurģis Auziņš, awarded scholarships FOR Dricānu secondary schools. 15 young people participated in the competition. After the jury, the scholarship was acquired by the 9 th grade student, Mara Samule, the 10 th grade student Renata Dakule and the 12 th grade student Agnese Strucka.
The formal event was discovered BY Dricānu high school ensemble, followed by the speech of Rigvir founder Jurģa Auziņa: “This is a long-term project because poverty in rural areas is a very topical problem. The monthly scholarship is EUR 75, which will provide support for high-quality education. My grandmother also studied and worked in very difficult times during the war and post-war years, but later became a doctors and scientist who discovered the anti-cancer medicine“ Rigvir ”. I am delighted that today, thanks to the success of“ Rigvir ”, we are able to help talented and centred students, perhaps the next excellent scientists. My wish to all Dricānu secondary school pupils to be hard and achieve the dreams that they intend! '
The recipient of the scholarship's 12 th grade student, Agnes Strucka, said, “I am very proud of the fact that it is our school that has been selected for Rigvir scholarships!” We are creating our own country's future! Thank you very much to the founder of the International Virotherapy Fund, Jurģis Auziņš, for granting scholarship and providing information. Thank our school director Skaidrice Strod and teachers! '
“Rigvir” Holdings combines a group of companies whose main activity is to manufacture and develop the unique cancer medicine “Rigvir” in Latvia. As it is known, there is currently only one live, non-genetically modified virus that represents the oncolytic Virotherapy sector, the medicine 'Rigvir', which is one of the most important scientific achievements of Latvia in the field of oncology. This medicine has been used to treat melanoma, but has been widely used in clinical practice in the treatment of several other malignancies. Cholding “Rigvir” support for young people - contribution to the development of Latvian science in the future. More information on the company's website: http://www.virotherapy.eu
