Mother tongue for children's eyes

With the opening of the exhibition on 7 May, the visual and visual plastic art competition “mother-in-law of children” organised by the educational administration has been concluded. The competition was organised within the centenary of Latvia, with the aim of stimulating the interest of children and young people in their municipality and native parish, highlighting and artificially reflecting the uniformity, diversity and beauty of their native places, thus identifying the wealth of their own national culture and traditions.
The competition included children and young people from Maltas secondary school, Gaigalavas primary schools, Maltas secondary school units in elementary schools, Gaigalavas primary school units Rikavas primary schools, Nautrēnu secondary schools, Rēznas elementary schools, Tiskad High Schools, Dricānu High Schools, Tiskad Secondary School Cruise Schools, L. Rananes McKashan Secondary Schools and Maltas children and youth centre. In total, 86 visual and visual plastic works were presented.
In his works, pupils drew attention and artistic representation of people, events, important natural, environmental and cultural historical sites. The authors of the best works were awarded with diplomas and received gifts that would be useful in the future of new artistic works. In addition, students had the opportunity to visit the School of Art and Design in Rezekne, where they had the opportunity to work in the creative workshops of painting, clay building and clothing modelling.
An exhibition of the best works of the visual and visually plastic art competition “mother's eyes” by 11 May can still be seen in the 1 st floor foyer of the municipality of Rezekne.
