Etnographic ensemble “Rikava” – 60

The 60 th anniversary of the Etnographic ensemble “Rikava” is strong and rich. January took us into a bunch of chickens AT Dricānu in the cultural house and called FOR a Kaunatas folklore set in Razna. In February, in February, together with Rikavas primary school students, we played, sang, danced and tasted winter traditions – from Martians to Aizgaret. In March, the international folklore festival “Baltica 2015” Rēzekne Municipality scored the highest rating – category I. We received praise from the jury for both a very interesting, artistic show, a demonstration of the various skills, and a stylistically intelligent behavior with tasty stylistics of the People's Theatre, the singing, the suits, and the choice of smart ethnographic objects.
With THE support of Rikavas parish administration, we took the intention to visit the Legislative Garden on 31 May and to participate in building it. On 18 November 2018, Latvia will celebrate hundreds of years. The Legislative Garden is a gift of the whole People's gift to Latvia. Everyone is invited to participate and contribute to its implementation. Also, in my opinion, the joy of participation and the joint donation brought the fulfillment of this idea - we planted an oak with a memorial mark and a dedication to the “Latvian people”, making it symbolically a part of the Legacy Garden.
In the year of anniversary events, Etnographic ensemble “Rikava” added membership on 31 May at the “Latgalian evening” in Mālpils. On 15 June, we took Latgale to the Etnography Museum in Etnographic Museum. We visited Sherjan and Pilcene at the camp of the old people. The tradition has become the ancient talent of our counselor, the poet Livia Lieppier, and we have made rye, plucking flax. This year it was a turn for a hay.
On July 19, together with other creative and active people, we will represent Rikavas parish in the final event of Rezekne municipality.
And then - an important and important event – a collective 60-year anniversary where everyone is invited to participate.
The heritage of the People's spirit, as a strong and secure bridge between the far 1954 s and today, has helped us to withstand, inspire and contribute to this complex and events during the rich period. In the 60 s, the People's song has been not only a hobby but also a style of life, one of the greatest values and a way of demonstrating his latency, latgality, how to show respect and love for his mother, language, municipality, country.
Memories and dreams will meet on July 26 in Rikava.
