Possibility to apply for practice at municipal polling stations

The Central Election Commission (CSK) also calls on young people to apply for practice in polling stations this year in order to give an opportunity to meet the Commission's job responsibilities and to promote the interest and awareness of young people.

The practice is intended for young people aged 16-25 who wish to familiarise themselves with the Commission's work of the polling station, are interested in the elections, are socially responsible and would like to participate in the elections in the future in the performance of the duties of a Member of the Commission.

The practice days in this year's municipal elections will be 2, 3 and 4 June, and in the course of practice young people will be able to participate in the placement of the polling station, servicing of voters on the day of election and the counting of votes.

In order to prepare for practice, young people are invited to become acquainted with the duties of a member of the Commission Member of the polling station in the portal www.prakse.lv and learn CVK online training course “municipal elections 2017”, which explains how to prepare a compartment for work, serve voters on the day of election and count the votes received in the districts.

Practice applications must be submitted by 25 May. The practice conditions can be found on THE WEBSITE of CVK www.cvk.lv under “Municipal elections 2017/practice in the polling station”.
