In an intense and creative atmosphere, the interactive programme for young people “you can more!” was performed in August, which was implemented by the Latvian Rural Advisory and Education Centre (LLCC) Rēzekne division within the framework of the national rural network activity “support for rural youth entrepreneurship”. During the event, a number of days for young people from Rezekne, Viļānu, Karsava, Cibla and Ludza, there was an opportunity to learn and learn about how to start and develop their business. A number of competent experts have made valuable recommendations in this respect.
As part of the support programmes implemented by Latvian Development Finance Institution Altum, Vita Pučka, head of the Latvian Development Financial Institution Altum. A representative of the municipality of Rezekne called on young people to actively engage in public life and also informed about the support opportunities offered by the local government in the realization of young people's ideas. His view of the development of Latgale youth crust-ideas and new business directions was described by Marika Rudzīte-Griķe, head of the association “his own pocket”. In turn, the winner of the 2013 competition “Fields to be!”, the owner of the farm “biscuits”, Uldis Arnicans, told his success story about how he had dared and started his business, and how useful he was to know what he was doing in the training organised BY LLCC in 2013.
With its vision of defining, analysing and developing a targeted idea, young people think creative and diverse from the usual motivation of SIA “break point” adventure organization training manager Maris fat. He taught young people how to develop their own ideas strategy by formulating a potential business mission, vision and goals.
Exciting lectures on marketing topics were conducted by Rēzekne High School mg. oec. lectore Iveta Dembovsky. Young people gained widespread insight into different marketing concepts, market segmentation, choice of prospective segments, market introduction of their product or service, targeting, customer needs identification, competition analysis and, of course, the creation of effective advertising.
Practical information on business planning, including business plan development, business forms, company registration procedures, was provided by the LLCC Rēzekne department business advisor Arthur Skesters. In contrast, accounting topics were explained BY THE accounting consultant Sanita Kowalenko, accounting advisor of THE LLCC Rezekne.
The “business experience marathon” organised during the event was given special recognition by young people – various companies of Rezekne, Ciblas and Karsava, whose leaders shared their management experience.
While visiting Griškānu parish at the ceramic Andra Ushpeal, young people listened with interest to the stories of the preservation and continuation of family business traditions in Ushpeu. Of course, the ceramic also demonstrated how the surface of the clay was on the surface and, with special inspiration, told about the technological process of his trade, from the choice of raw materials, the killing of the baker, and the supply of the finished product and its supply on the market.
IN THE village OF Čornajas parish, young people were hospitalised by THE Sun RH owner Elga Elksne, who worked as a household producer in a special niche, making and offering a non-traditional product to Latgale. Young people, by tasting their masters, welcomed both their external appearance and their taste. Elga encouraged young people not to fear the challenges and always keep in mind that every idea is worth considering it as a possible solution to the start of their business. However, she also warned that it is very important to examine the laws and regulations that are binding on a particular economic activity, but it can be done if they are very willing, because there are, however, authorities where there is always a need for advice and the necessary information.
The next businessman, with whom the young people took a lot of practical advice on the organisation of their economic activity, was THE owner of “Ideigori” Valdis Zujs from THE parish OF Pušas, who met young people in the working process on the grain field by stepping up the grain of grain. The meeting with this businessman affected young people with an inspiring story about how much in detail the farmer himself analysed every nuance in preparation for business in agriculture (grain) and how economic affairs are organised at the moment – how the technical park needed for the development of cereals is planned and developed and how financial resources are attached to this objective, both through project opportunities and by credit resources from commercial banks and other financial institutions. It was, of course, also highlighted the ability to convince potential funders of their creditworthiness, justifying the expected revenue stream of the company and alternative options in the event of different risks. In his narrative, Valdis focused on the importance of working with maximum return on business and establishing fair relationships with partners.
As a continuation of the “business experience marathon”, young people came to the municipality of Ciblas in Ledumnieki parish, the farm “grundues”, where owners Inara and Valfred Miepils were willing to share their experience of farming in the rural area. The young people were encouraged by the fact that the owners in their lives have taken a decision from a certain degree of stable life in Riga to move to life in Latgale rural areas and are able to provide the necessary revenue with diverse farming. Master Valfred's pride is the greatest passion of his life, pigeons. Currently, there are more than 200 decorative and mail pigeons in the holding, which are trained and trained. But there are not only pigeons in the holding, the chickens, rabbits, sheep, goats, and the gardens are also cultivated, including autumn raspberries, which, as the housewife Inara acknowledges, is a very good source of income during the season. But the most impressive performance of Inara in the total budgeting of the farm is the delicate chocolate sweets, the various cakes and cakes that the housewife produces and offers to both local residents and to further markets. It was a great opportunity for young people to see how several types of activity have been expanded on one farm and each is earned not only as a separate product, but also generally offered as a rural tourism service.
Knowledge, experience and inspiration for his business will also be consumed by young people in the parish company OF Karhis municipality IN Malnava parish company EVERY “depths”. Her owner, Barsukova, with her characteristic honorary charm, kindly showed her bread bakery and told the young people how she had been looking for a trace in her life, which would be close to her heart and, of course, make a profit. The scene after the professions is accountant, once tried to become agricultural and engaged in the dairy farming sector, but soon realized that the niche was not a pleasant, there was an effort in other areas, until finally he tried to eat the bread. The family garage is now a bakery in which electric ovens with stone clones are purchased and installed with European funding. A real wood furnace is also built, as in ancient times, as well as the entire other material base. A pleasant surprise for young people was the chance to bake and taste aromatic and crunchy pizza. Young people also gained valuable advice on the development of their company's marketing to create a successful business image and effectively promote company production. A bright example of this is THE traditional “Brench” event organised by the owner of the “vein” (the name of the housewife has created the words “breakfast” and “lunch”), during which various visitors are invited to the tea table and a small domestic market is organised in the courtyard next to the house. In this way, the landlord ensures both the visibility of the company and the fact that the customer himself returns for the goods and does not have to drive to the market in order to sell it, as well as a certain benefit in such a measure is, of course, also for other domestic producers.
At the end of the interactive programme “You're More!”, young people presented their business ambitions, among which there were both photo and video solutions, the production of summer flower plants, and the creation of the peintball area, the creation of the chicken farm, both the fire steam and the leasing point etc. The most susceptible young people currently have a great opportunity to demonstrate their power by participating in the business plan contest “to be!” and, in the event of success, receive money prizes for the implementation of their ideas.
In conclusion, we want to add that we, the staff of the Rēzekne department of the Latvian Rural Advisory and Education Centre, thank all the lecturers who provided knowledge to young people about business affairs and, of course, also entrepreneurs who engaged in “business experience marathon” with their practical advice. We are pleased about the opportunity to support the desire of young people to live and work in the countryside so that the slogan “to be!” does indeed carry out the mission that includes it.
