Kaunatas “white birds” participates IN FIRST LEGO LEAGUE first exhibition in Latvia

On May 19, “First Lego League Latvia” exhibition was held at Latvian International School. There were 13 teams from 10 Latvian schools, including REPRESENTATIVES of THE Kaunatas high school robotic group “white birds”.
When THE LEGO Robotic Teacher, Evita Cairiah, learned about the possibility of submitting “white birds” to THE first organised exhibition of THE FIRST LEGO LEAGUE in Latvia for children aged six to nine, she did not think that the pupils would be so responsible and energetic. Their task was to render the water of the water. A team was created to learn not only to offer their ideas but also to accept other thoughts. In order to understand what the water drops is, the pupils also visited THE Kaunatas water tower, where the parish plumber Vladislav Itkach showed a water movement scheme, as well as explained how the water treatment process took place. So, armed with practical knowledge, the boys continued to work on THE LEGO model.
When the other pupils died in the morning of 19 May, five birds from the group “white birds” — Rinalds Paramonovs, Jegors Karpov (1. Class A), Thomas Degterev, Janis Obuch and Lauris Ruth (2. Class A) - Teacher Evita, on the way to Pincent. The team had to draw up a presentation stand about the process of making his LEGO model and the lessons learned. In the course of two hours of evaluation, the Commission was aware of the work and asked questions. The participants of other schools could also be acquainted with the work of other schools. As three teams were from international school, English knowledge could also be used. The atmosphere exhibited friendliness and curiosity, because it was the same thinking, ready to share experience, ask, show.
In preparation for the participants of the “white bird” exhibition, Teacher Evita allowed them to improvise and draw conclusions. The children admitted that this work gave them the opportunity to learn to work in the team.
At the end of the exhibition, the guests had the opportunity to meet the international school where the children of the diplomatic corps were trained. There was a chance to compare both spaces and their activities. After that, everyone was pleased with the musical performance of the international school pupils.
In order for the beautiful day to be even more wonderful, THE participants of THE Kaunatas high school group “white birds” went to the Latvian university's botanical garden rododendra park and enjoyed the short-term beauty of flowers, also introducing the work they invested in order to assess the result.
