Education

Sometimes there is a pleasant surprise at school that is not related to learning. THE surprise of THE Kaunatas secondary school pupils came on the 4-5 April trip along Kurzeme.
The school director Alīna Gendele, along with the educators Irene Selivonchik and Inara Paramonova, organised an excursion for classes 10 and 11 in the Latvian education programme “Latvian School Finish 2019”. On a two-day trip, young people looked at Liepāja, Karosta, Kuldīga, Cinevilla, Sabili and Lāčkog Lake.
The city of the winds, Liepāja, was taken to the sea, brought through the historic centre of the city and spent to the northern fashion. In a small military town in Karosta, the pupils were waiting for the test. Here until 1997, the only prison sentence serving in Latvia was held. In the former prison, the test was not easy - during the inspection, physical exercises had to be carried out to obtain information on the building.
After a serious physical exercise, encouraging the grace of classes, the pupils went to enjoy the spiritual time on the concert hall “big Dzintars.” The Gide League Engelmane guided the excursion, emphasizing the peculiar, unusual, stories, the sounds of music that did not fall in the room all the time – the pupils learned of the musical acuuncture.
The first day was Laura Groz-Kibeer's faculty “like a top performance?” 'Liepaja theatre. It was told how it appeared from the first call to the closing of the curtain. High school students tried to create a show in their own way as a professional actor – Karina Tatarinova and Peter Page.
After a varied day, everyone went to rest on Emmett's Manor. The building is converted into a guest house while preserving the ancient charm. The manor looks exactly like the 18 th century, even the locks, the surrounding farm buildings, which are also used.
The next day started with a trip to Kuldīga, where we looked at the Venta hub, the Kuldīga watermills and the ancient brick bridge. The Sabilee looked at the range of local dolls: large and small, children and adults, sewing and everyday workers, and all of fabric and straw. The third stop was in Lāčov. The pupils took a walk to the Lake Lake, which is turquoise in colour. The pupils checked - really the lake is unusually blue.
In the multicoloured Cinevilla pupils, the pupils were awaited quietly because they were going to be filming. We found out how the top film was. We also made our own film, the actors were selected from the middle of the pupils, the disc with the film was also provided to the school. After filming, the pupils rushed into the excursion of Cinevilla. Interesting facts were found, for example, many cinema buildings are butoforia made from foam. Gid introduced both Latvian film “Riga guards”, “Nameja Ring” and foreign film decorations: “Bavaria”, “Admiral” etc.
The pupils managed a pleasant, memorable excursion. Thank YOU FOR THE Kaunatas High School Director and the “Latvian School Finish” project!
