On 13 June, two Latvian Agricultural University (LLU) excellence or “red diploma” received from the municipality of Rēzekne Maltas parish – Santa Grecka and Kristina Isayeva. Both excellence have completed the “Economics” study programme of THE LLU Economy and Society Development Faculty and have acquired a bachelor degree in economics.
S.greck says that the diploma of excellence has been accidentally acquired. As the competition on state-funded study places in the programme has been large, the young woman has been studying the idea of “not falling out of the budget” during her studies, so the receipt of “red diploma” has been a great surprise to her. S.greck notes that the high achievements in the studies were also helped by the fact that, in THE LLU service hotel, she lived with students from her faculty: “it is easier to learn a lesson” and that the sense of responsibility thus increases. A thorough visit to the lessons that significantly improves the reception and remembering of the information is also important. 'The Excellent also says that it was easy to combine the lessons with the singing IN THE GLU mixed choir “rite” and that she wanted to pursue her studies, but she had not yet decided in which university.
K. Isayeva, on the other hand, finds that the studio has enjoyed the same way as any young man – studying, participating in the Erasmus exchange programme, studying studios abroad and finding time for entertainment and recreation. The acquisition of the diploma of excellence was not K.Isayeva's self-esteem. The Excellent believes that every student is more valued at university as a prospective specialist in general: “each teacher is able to see whether a young learning substance is understood or not, so that his knowledge is assessed as a whole, and a check in the examination or examination is not determinative.” K. Isajeva is currently working in Riga and plans to rest from studies after obtaining a bachelor degree.
The highest achievements of graduates in studies are proud of the newly elected LLU rector, Professor Irina Pilvere, who has also graduated with a diploma of excellence. “I can say from my experience that i am proud of it all my life.” And i hope that this year's excellence will also hold his diploma at high level, will not forget his university and continue studying IN THE LLU Masters and Doctorate. '
The rector believes that the “red diploma” is evidence of the high working capacity of young people, the shared sense of responsibility and the serious treatment of their duties, which will also appear in the course of the work: “this diploma demonstrates very much determination, ambition, competence, work capacity and discipline, and is also understood by employers, as overall the diploma of excellence is very rare.”
THE LLU Excellence Diploma is provided to graduates who have at least 75 percent of the endorsements in the course of their studies at 9 or 10, and there are no ratings below 7 votes. Similarly, a student of a diploma has to defend a national examination or study final work with 9 or 10 balls. Since 1999, the diploma of excellence have received 56 LLU graduates.
The information was prepared by Ilvija Gaidukovich, representative of THE LLU public relations and career centre.
