Education

On December 4, 2019, a representative from the Latvian ornithologist society (LOB) Agnis Bush, who co-operated with his colleagues (virtual), conducted interactive lessons for class 6 and 7 students on the theme “forest is home: hollow trees”. In this lesson, students could meet the importance of the holy trees in the forest, their diverse inhabitants, their secrets. Students could learn an interesting, knowledgeable and exciting story of one tree over several years.
“I think the forest is a city.” The forest is home to many living creatures. It really is. And the older the city is, the more interesting and valuable. It shows and finds very special, even year-old structures similar to architectural monuments - both culture, living and farming. There are also very new and bright. In that ancient city, everybody can find a place in accordance with their demands and interests. So is the forest - the older it is, the more diverse, hiding a wide range of possibilities for living. One of these diversity houses is the holy trees. '
Thank YOU FOR THE representatives OF LOB who discovered the interesting doomed tree world through narration and discussion, and also told students to think about what was around us, their worth and magic.
