“It comes in autumn to paint Latvia, but do not bother, do not try to do so.” – “... it is doing well in Chornais, anyway” – such a popular song could be rephrased as the exhibition of the painting plenary session was opened on 27 September AT Čornajas in the People's House. For the second year, Čornajas children and other stakeholders were able to work under the direction of artist and create their own works in different techniques. On August 30 and September 1, the artist Dace Baltfoe, July Shilov, Editte Zavadska, Dzintra Romanovska and Victoria Grappa were present with both advice and recommendation for 24 young artists.
At the end of the final exhibition, the works were also evaluated in a closed way, as the members of the Commission - July Shilova, Rasa Baltfoe, Janis Aleksane, Victoria Grappa and Inara Paramonova - did not know which work was owned by the creative participant. The Commission's thoughts were shared because the works were different, both by content and technique, but in conclusion, places were divided – 1 st place and the main prize was received by Alexander Fiodorov, who studied AT Kaunatas High School in grade 6a, 2 nd place was awarded to Gļebam Jarzevičam, 4 th grade school student of Rezekne High School, and 3 rd place - for the best working author of the last plenary session, Radvilam Abajevs, from class 7b of THE Kaunatas secondary school. The leader of the plenary session, Silova, admitted that not everyone invested in the same job – if one needed a longer time to show his landscape, then some would have enough to mix the colors, pull the brush and the work is ready, then brush the viewer. TN manager Dace Baltfoe said about how these children open because there is a different atmosphere, another work with colors.
After receiving the prizes, as the promotion prizes were received by all the artists, the Commission also commented on the compliments of Saldus Zefir for one of the paintings that were not part of the evaluation, who were able to enjoy the evening artistic talks at the cake and tea, to share the impressions, as the paintings reflected both the waves of the lake, the silence of the countryside and the raibumu of the modern world.
