Education

Maltas music school students had a unique opportunity to participate in the Attorney of Latvia's national symphonic orchestra (LNSO) in Riga, the big guild. On May 3, LNSO concluded the summer of 2017/2018 with a fantastic concert under the direction of Karel Mark Sischer and Vestard Šimkus, “Sisona and Shimkus parallels”. At the time of the concert-trial, there was a meeting with the orchestra patronee Ivetu Vējonis, but after the concert, the children were given warm lunches, much thanks to the organisers, THE LNSO support fund, and especially John Javier.
On May 12, the children's vocals and instrumentalist contest “Latgale pop stars 2018” visited our school. Thanks to the Latvian Belarusian Union, this competition was first held in Latgale in collaboration with the International Talent Centre. The format of the event is a qualified jury along Latgale cultural centres and music schools, selecting the most capable, virtual performers of music. THE Maltas music school was represented by Kaspars Bačkurs (class 5, pedagogy Tatjana Nagle), Agate Guiibovska (5 th viola game class) and violinist quartet (Agate Guiibovska, Everita Schtekele, Erika Ruhmane and Ksenija Smaukstele, pedagogy Rita Zuyeva, concert meister Ludmila Semjonova). Every participant in the competition was conclusive, musical emotional, and therefore, on 19 May, the National Society of Rezekne took part in the final concert and the award of winners.
The most talented music school representatives from Maltas, Dagda, Kraslava, Viļāniem, Zilupes, Balvi and Rezekne took part in the final.
Kspars Bačkurs, II place and 150 euro bonus were awarded BY Zanes Ludborža's music school student Timurs Pugačovs, and Iii place and 100 euro bonus were awarded from Maltas music schools from Maltas music school.
Thank students, teachers and learners' parents for their work.
Good luck in the future!
