On July 23, Kaunatā is traditionally marked by Saint Ellie's Day. The Holy prophet Ellie (ilia) is considered a guardian OF Kaunatas, his Sunday is at Kaunatas of the most blessed Virgin in the Catholic Church of Rome. In order to honor the Holy Ellie Kaunatā from ancient times, the Illia fair is held annually. This year it will be held on 23 July from 8:00 to 12:00 Kaunatas in the centre, next to the parish administration.

For trade participants, pre-registration is mandatory by sending the application questionnaires and the proof of the sale of the self-produced product (if applicable).

Application questionnaires and certifications (in accordance with the binding regulations of the municipality of Rēzekne of 21 March 2013 No 101 “on street trade in Rezekne municipality”) are available on the website of Rezekne municipality www.rezeknesnovads.lv, or sent to e-mail on request. Market discovery at 9.00 a small concert will be held. The exhibition of the photovoltaic “summer rhythms” will be seen.
