From 9 November 2019 to 12 January 2020 at the Riga Sv. In Peter's church there will be an exhibition of “Joseph Pigogen Prize in Latvian landscape painting” at the 2019 Riga City Council Sympty Award exhibition “Formula Formula in Latgale. V.I.V.A.“. It will include the paintings OF the artist association V.I.V.A. - the breeze Ushmouse, Ilze Griezanes, vija Stupānes and early Ritina, as well as the works of the People's applied art studio “Rēzekne county puzzles”.
The poet and publisher Anna Rancāne for the exhibition say that: “poet Carl Skalbe in the book Small Notes” (1920) wrote – happiness is socket! The participants of this exhibition have also found their happiness formula in a nest called Latgale. The paintings and clay, in the face of each other, formed a common ceramic receptacle, a superior, traditional Latgale pot, in which the housewives carried on the dirt. The couple must be in harmony with both sides so that the receptacle does not overturn and the food does not rain, and the osa is leaning over them, like a rainbow arc, or a sofa Doug. It is also a feeling of Latgale people, because all the major works in Latgale villages were done together, helping and supporting each other. It also complements and balances the works of the painter association “V.I.V.A.” and the People's applied art studio “Rēzekne District Pudnaments”, but the love and sense of belonging to Latgale, its cultural environment, landscape and language are among them. ”
Since 2006, four Latgale paintings have been performed in the association “V.I.V.A.” – Fairy Ušmouse, Ilze Griezāne, vija Stupāne and agra Ritina. The name is derived from the first letters of their names, but in translation from Latin, it means “to live!” which is a great feature of the artistic performance of the creative Quartet. The painter's creative collaboration started in 2006, meeting in a joint plenary studio AT Kaunatas parish “Actions”. Since then, Long, Ilze, vija and agra have participated in many exhibitions and plenary sessions, both in Latvia and beyond, bringing the message of Latgale magic, openness and creative spirit. The exhibition of the exhibition at the PeterChurch is a prize awarded to artists by Riga City Council for high-value performance at the exhibition of this year's competition “Joseph Pigogen Prize in Latvian landscape painting”. This competition was established in 2015 and the goal of the prize is to reveal the diversity of Latvia's landscape, to update and popularize Latvian landscape painting traditions, which are successfully implemented by the association “V.I.V.A”.
On the other hand, the Rēzekne District Art studio “Rēzekne District puzzles” marks the 30 th anniversary of its existence and will complement the exhibition exhibition with wonderful ceramic articles. The study is conducted by Andris Ušpelis and co-operates with several generations of generations, whose works are widely known and popular. The masters operate using a variety of dishwasher, glazing and firing techniques, but all are combined with hand-to-hand and burn burn in a burner-type open fire.
The exhibition is organized by: Riga Municipal institutions' associations Riga Sv. The church of Peter Church is supported by the municipality of Rezekne.
