Technical creativity Kaunatā – “white birds”

Education

For more than half a year, THE Lego robotic group “white birds” is active in the secondary school, where creative thinking boys and girls are building and programming Lego robot.
Before Christmas with a trembling heart, but the commitment went to his first competition, “Robotics Christmas Cup” in Riga, Transport and Communications Institute. The three most secure members of the robotic group, Matīss Skesters (season 3), Richard Konisevsky (season 3), Lego Inkins, and Martin Inkins (4 th club) immediately two disciplines, both Lego sumo and line-up. To support, feel and meet the spiritual spirit of these competitions, five more robotic boys went along. First successes and failures, victories and losses, new useful ideas have been found, seeing both newcomers and already experienced and skilled participants from Latvia and Estonia.
We received an invitation and, on 28 January of that year, we went to the first robotic competition in Latgale – in the hospitable Preiles, where the very experienced Lithuanians were born. Four participants – Martin Inkins (track 4), Maxime Miheyev (track 4), Ilvars Trulis (track 8) and Aivars Jakubenoks (9 th club) participated in Lego sumo discipline, where the 32-member fight Ilvars Trulis started at the second stage, thus becoming 16 best.
With the first spring month, FLL was also expected (First Lego League competitions. On 4-5 March, the “white birds” on the valve went to the beach: Maria slauma-Talkiu (cl. 5), Martin Inkins (season 4), Maksims Miheyev (season 4), Richard Konisevsky (season 3) and Matīss Skesters (season 3). These complicated competitions are based on friendly, coherent team participation in project design and presentation, the design and performance competitions of Lego Robots, and the ability to show and gain new knowledge. Both the accomplishments and gratitude, medals and prizes for participation were welcomed. This year, THE winners of FLL's competitions became glorious, but we were not less delighted than our leaders, the pupils of the New Jerusalem primary school with whom we had been friends, because we had gone together in all three trips. They have been in the competition for a second year. We share our experiences, discuss ideas, enjoy our success and support each other.
We are grateful to everyone who helped us go to these competitions: Kaunatas parish administration, the municipality of Rezekne, and the Rēzekne municipality's educational administration for the financial support provided, Kaunatas for high school headquarters and especially for parents. Technical creativity is a good start for smart, creative, ideal-rich children who might become engineers or other professions in the future who are not only a daily, but also a heartbeat.
