“Latvian pride” award – Savinai Gailumei

The Latvian prize of the newspaper “Day” and TV3's prize “Latvian pride” in the nomination “family” was awarded to Rēzekne Municipality Nautrene parish citizen Savinai Gailumei, who has raised six orphans alone, now raising two more who have abandoned her mother. On December 26, at the solemn ceremony in the new hall of the national opera, Grandma Savina received this award from the hands of President Andris Berzins, and her contribution to honor, rose and applauded the entire hall.
This prize is presented in Latvia for the eleventh time, honouring those who inspire more, teach us self-enthusiasm, self-esteem, as well as the ability to save lives with their jobs, increase their lives and positivism, thereby contributing to the evil in our country. Latvian pride stock is organized by a newspaper The Day and Telecom TV3 with the support of Riga Free Port Administration and VAS Latvian Railway with the participation of a friend .lv.
Not to be ageing
A strange Gailume sat on the edge of the road from the night of the dark lake, like a heavily laden boat. In this Rēzekne municipality, no lights can be seen in the neighborhood of Nautrene parish, but the windows are flashing bright bright, chimney Coop, promising a warm nightmare to wipe off the frozen legs, put wet socks and gloves and put the palm to the warm side of the stove. Here is a home where to find shelter and warm up for both big and small.
Her grandmother, Savina, sprang out like an irbite, a life-valorem, and a table that does not miss the baked white bread, or two kinds of farmhouse cheese and waxy yellow butter. Urges the taste of pink apples from the first harvest of the new apple garden. It is hard to say that the baker and the planter will soon have eight decades, as Savina herself laughs – eighteen! She must not be old at all because there is someone who needs to be heated, loved, protected and encouraged. As in the late winter, when a bad illness took a canvas, leaving the orphans five babies, the youngest of whom was not even two years old. And now the Grandmother's nest is not empty - the houses were found by Nathalie and Albertins, the children of the dead son of the woman who left them.
To my question, where the power is to do everything, Savina, laughs. “What is it, pregnancy?” When you're drowning in the swamp, wrap your hands and Perry forward, then don't sink. '
Children are not distinguished
The old house in Pugramole is Savina's husband's seat. She married, still a young man, at the neighbor's boy Albert, nine years older. They both worked in a college, raised three sons, Antonu, Peter and Arnold. The oldest, Anton, brought his wife home, one after another. The quiet life turned into a wild swirl in 1995, when the canvas, still young, died at the age of 33, died from a malignant tumour. Without Momma, five children remained -- the league was 13 years old, Santa 10, John 6, Sabine 3, Sstard Joseph only a year and 9 months. She had been retired for a long time, but she had no doubts about where to make the baby. And not because she heard that the canvas, when she was on the bed, told the big girls -- when i was n't, keep up with it. Bloodolys babenis.
“But i wouldn't have given it to anyone if she didn't.” The people in here said, mad and ugly in their years, they would have shared the world. But children must not be separated, they are not any object that can be broken down. “How can i divorce brothers, sisters!” – Savina wipes her tears in the corner.
In the meantime, she has had a painful heart, both her husband, who has gone eternity five years later, leaving Savin with her grandchildren alone. Both the older son whose life after his wife's death had never been arranged: he had met another woman who had had two children, but more liked alcohol. The boy, Andria, Savina's grandson, Jānis, is soon to be called his grandmother, and another sixth of the children of the nursing children. The fate's bells continued – Anton died, three years ago, the children of his new life in the world - Nathalie and Albert, because they had proved unnecessary to their mother. It was 11, Albertins, three years. Again Savina had to take care of her and become a grandmother.
In a younger village
Savina admits that the greatest despair might have been when the man died, because he had lost his strong shoulder. “I stayed like a bastard.” But i think every one of my guardian angels, not to cry, will never get the dead. We must live, go, go ahead, think how to raise and educate children. “In the years when many women think more about rest, Savina has set up a farm, planting apples, pears, berries, technics and cattle in a number of hectares. Now there are three dozens of beef cattle, horse, five pigs, eight sheep, six dairy cows who are wiped each day with their hands. Then, every time in her barn, the four-legged bombs of the surroundings - it turns out that the cat is also feeling where the cow is being wiped.“ There's almost no neighborhood, all dead. ”In the gleam, my father's house was empty, the neighbors of Dreasure's house empty, Once, my godson's house empty. Obruman Onufry alone, he'll be 92. I'm almost the youngest. I don't ask anyone, i'm all like enough, butter, thicket, meat.“ I've got my own. ”
His wife does not complain too. “I don't remember when i was last seen.” When the pulmonary carson was, then the grass was shaking. The children in the hospital were born in Anton Rogovka's Hospital, Peter in Sherjans, the youngest, Arnold, already in Rezekne. ”
Don't talk about pregnancy
The sad Savina doesn't want to speak anymore, like that cat in Charles Scalbe's tale. The grandmother grabbed the photograph album, where her life, rainy and colourful, comes in front of her eyes, and the black-and-white funeral pictures come from both the first September of the grandchildren and the times of the First Holy Communion and the other festival. Everywhere Savina's children are devastated, happy and smiling, not different from the others. There are photographs of the school and study years. “For children, i said, mother, while i'm alive and i can help.” “I'll give you the last one.” Now granddaughters have been studying, grandsons are working, and Grandmother helps to deal with the farm. The smallest grown-ups -- Nathalie is already in class 8, Albert Albertins goes into Ilzeskalna parish kindergarten.
“The kids don't want to be sad.” Who must know that? Easy or hard, you need to live. The children have also made my life happier, because -- what i'm doing here alone, only sucking and waiting for death. “Thank you, God, the first children have been dragged out, how much God will let them,” says Savina.
“Savina Gailume is extremely busy, she has a big farm.” “The grandchildren are working in it, and one worker is also helping,” says Nautrene parish council social worker Inara Skester. “She's five grandchildren,” she says. The little Albert is looking for a day-night kindergarten, but Savina cares very much about her — she can't be different because she must run the farm. ”
Marija Andina, a teacher of the pre-school educational institution of the municipality of Ilzeskalna parish, was born in Rēzekne municipality. “One day when Savina brought the boy to the garden,” i asked her, “How can you do it all?” There was a reply - see, girl, there are two crosses in life - iron, which can be folded, straightened and farmed, but the cement, if it falls, is broken into small particles that must be packed together. So i took that second cross and my life as a mosaic on the particles together. I have to be strong, because will the tears help? Sometimes my heart screams from grief and you can't do anything - you have to live. I don't have easy, but i'm trying to do it. The man must think because it is not possible to live. "
