High school students go into a dreamy excursion

In mid-June, the 5 th class students of Tiskad High School went into their dream excursion. Such a chance was given to them thanks to the competition “our dreams excursion” organised by ECOLINES. The kids took a video showing and telling them how much they wanted to see the sea and visit the city of Ventspils. At the end of the presentation there was a song about the bus ECOLINES, whom the children had hoped for.
Finally, on 13 June, our excursion took place. Early in the morning, a beautiful yellow, large and comfortable bus ECOLINES had arrived, just as we had dreamed of, and we walked happily to the far end.
On the way to Ventspils we visited Kuldīga, we saw the widest natural waterfall in Venta hub.
In Ventspils, we were waiting for us, John Purmalietis, who showed us the most beautiful places of the city, about more interesting events and more important facts from Ventspils history. It was very fascinating to look at the city on the bus windows.
We visited the sea-free museum where we looked at the old fishermen's mushrooms and household objects, boats and anchors, windmills and washbasins; we enjoyed the diversity of the īrisu in the flower exhibition, as well as checking our sporting skills in the jungle trail.
As with the time machine, we went into the past to feel the atmosphere of medieval festivals. A fascinating knight tournament took place in the Palace of Livonian Order, and we watched the show with interest and pleasure. It took place in medieval music, and all visitors were given the opportunity to have a blacksmith, a potter, bread baker, or a house in the artisanal workshops in the palace area. We tried to take a few steps, like medieval prisoners, looking at the palace jail, as well as climbing into the tower from which we could enjoy the city from the bird's flight.
After the festival, we went to a ship landing where we were already waiting for the excursion boat “Duke Jacob”, with whom we went through the river of Venta to the sea. The guide told us about ships and port companies located on both sides of the sea. Finally, we saw the place where the river enters the sea. It was memorable! The sea color, turquoise, varied significantly from the colour of the river. We were struck by an endless distance, an immeasurable large Baltic Sea and its beauty...
The last part of our excursion was a water adventure park. We swam in the pool, slid out of the water, warmed in the sauna and rested in Jacuzzi's baths.
Happy and happy we went back. Thanks_to my sincere thanks to ECOLINES, we also want to thank the bus drivers, Aigar Gorsside and Valdis Graitan, for their professionalism and support; thanks to our guide, Jānis Purmalietis, without his help, we will not be able to see the beauty of Ventspils.
