Commenced implementation of the Rēzekne municipality secondary school infrastructure development project
On December 18, 2013, an agreement has been reached between the municipality of Rezekne and the State Regional Development Agency regarding the implementation of the European Union Fund project, which provides for the implementation of the Rēzekne municipality project “Secondary School Infrastructure Development” of the municipality of Rezekne. As part of the project, it is planned to perform reconstruction works AT Kaunatas, Dricānu, Nautrēnu and Maltas parish secondary schools by 30 June 2015. The total eligible costs of the total project are EUR 11 516 046,71, including the co-financing of the European Regional Development Fund is EUR 6 308 968.08 (54,781 TP1T of total eligible costs), the national budget grant is EUR 431 851.75 (3,751 TP1T of the total eligible costs) and the municipal envelope of EUR 4 775 226,88, representing 41,471 TP1T of the total eligible costs.
The aim of the project is to improve the availability of public services in the municipality of Rezekne, building the links of general secondary education with the development of entrepreneurship. Within the framework of the School Infrastructure Project, it is planned to create four educational business contact points in the development centres: Maltā, Kaunatā, Dricans and Nautriene, as well as to adapt the premises for the establishment of educational establishments of pupils.
According to the results of public procurement, construction service contracts have been concluded, including the SIA “Asko AS” on the reconstruction of THE Kaunatas secondary school sports hall and the simplified reconstruction OF THE Kaunatas secondary school building housing, with THE work of PS “Latgale building” on the work of Nautrēnu secondary school building, the service hotel building reconstruction and the school street reconstruction (0.3 km) and with SIA “construction plant No. 5” for the SECONDARY school buildings and boiler house reconstruction works. For the provision of construction supervision services IN Dricānu and Kaunatas parish facilities, a contract has been concluded with SIA “BaltLine Globe”, while a contract with PS “InPro” has been entered into for construction supervision AT Nautrēnu parish sites. A procurement procedure is currently under way for Maltas secondary school and total infrastructure reconstruction work planned under the project.
The project is implemented within the framework of the ERDF programme “Infrastructure and Services”, 3.6.2.1.activity “Support for complex development of municipality municipalities”.
